I know it's a dirty approach, but when i run 1.2.0 with 1.1.2 exec, menu says game version 1.2.0, DLC v1.0 and i'm able to choose voice-pack

it depends on your shaderCache size and i assume you have Nvidia
I used both 5k and 9k shadercaches, and I got the same result: stutter feast.
this is bullshit. i have 8 Gb and an HDD... it's working on 30 fps , sometimes 25, but not less...
Yeah, but the game stutters a lot... IF you use a shadercache.

Hah. Really thx. Now in 1.7.5, Paper Mario: Color Splash even won't load up in title screen. :nayps3: (P.S.: This emoji needs a variant for laptop/notebook, eh?)

Specs: i7, Radeon R7 350, Win8.1

im very sure its 30fps with stutters a lot and not stable fps... if using HDD...
I was a bit skeptical how using ssd would make a diffence. So i tested it last night i moved cemu amd botw to my ssd c drive from my hdd drive and even though it made no difference to my fps which was stable at 27 to 30 fps anyway it did get rid of my artifacts and flashing lighting i was getting when playing in 4k and it does seem to play smother im not sure why this is but thanks for the tip

For me, CS loaded up into the actual game then when i quit out to set a gfx pack, the game now refuses to go past the green screen (first cutscene) even if i untick the gfx pack or try loading the game up in a fresh Cemu install.

So i know it does work in cemu 1.7.5, but it seems its completely random as to whether it wants to let you actually play.

Nvidia card fyi. So i dont think its gpu related.

I've been using CEMU @ 4K for a while but I'm not sure I'm getting the most out of the graphics settings, my CPU is an i3770s @ 4.6Ghz and an Nvidia 1070 @ 2100Mhz solid boost clock for all 3D apps although CEMU doesn't seem to clock it as high as 'normal' games (both CPU + GPU are watercooled).

I've set my PC to the following settings:-

I run my desktop @ 4K (150% scaling)

CEMU App = 'Override high DP scaling behaviour. Scaling Performed by: 'System Enhanced'.

nVidia custom CEMU Settings:-

Antialiasing - FXAA = On
Antialiasing - Gamma correction = On
Antialiasing - Mode = Override any application setting
Antialiasing - Setting = 8x
Antialiasing - Transparency = 8x (supersample)
Texture Filtering - Negative LOD bias = Allow
Vertical Sync = Fast

Rest of the nVidia setting are global (best quality settings).

In CEMU I've got the Upscale filter set to Bicubic.

I've also got 4K Graphics Pack settings turned on. I mainly play Mariokart 8 and I'm getting a solid 60fps but with a Native 4K screen and AA applied why am I still seeing jaggies?

So it first worked and then it didn't with the same Cemu version? Try deleting the precompiled shader file.

Hmm, ill give that a try. Thanks. Ill post back results.

Anyone tested cemu with ramdisk?
I don't see the point in doing that. Could you explain why you think there'd be a significant improvement?

Edit:
Also you'd only be able to run games that are small, anyway.
Except of course if you have 32GB+ of RAM, where I'd ask:
"Why spend so much money on RAM instead of an SSD? :ha:"

Some people gained fps with this way. Look to reddit. And why we must copy games to ram?

Look to reddit.
Reddit is full of snake oil and misinformation. Running cemu from a ram disk would be bad if you have an nvidia card. Nvidia cards use 2.3 MB of ram per shader. About 20GB for BoTW as an example. If you have an amd card you might gain an fps or 2 under some situations. When disk access is the limiting factor.

So I was wrong, sorry. One more question: Should I buy a ssd to this laptop for cemu?
-intel i5 3317u
-nvidia gt740m
-8gb ram 1600 mhz

Well, your CPU seems decent for Cemu (at least for some not too demanding games, not sure about Zelda BotW or XBX) :
  • Processor Base Frequency 1.70 GHz
  • Max Turbo Frequency 2.60 GHz

GPU is probably a little weak for big games and amount of RAM seems good (NVIDIA driver's bug will eat it fast btw).

SSD is always a good thing for general performances, the fastest disk acces you have, the less stutters you will have.

Don't expect awesome performances, Cemu is still a very young and unoptimized project but it will be better with future releases so hope is still permited for you ^^
