Hi, when i first got the wii u, other than the obvious nintendo stuff, i searched for some multi platform games that has some kind of benefit from the gamepad implementation. i saw the wii u version and i liked the gamepad features, but i kept reading about it's dead zones with the right analog stick. Some say it's horrible, others say it's not an actual issue.. Someone even said that it's the best version of the game available. My question is:
What's the truth? Is there an actual deadzone in the controls? Maybe it has been fixed in an update? Does anybody know? It's not a BIG issue for me, i already have the game on steam, but it would be cool to play it again with the gamepad.

deadzones are as bad as you heard they were and make the game unplayable on the wii u, but feel free to try it for yourself

There is a demo available, isn't there?
yes, and i tried it. the dead zones were there (PAL version) but demos don't get updated, i asked just in case an update fixed the issue in the actual full game, and in case the NTSC version was somehow different

Okay, I thought you said you only read about the dead zones. I tried the demo, and I never noticed any issues with the controller. So I guess it's different for different people on how sensitive you are to those dead zones.
I doubt that the controllers were "fixed" in some update. (By the way, doesn't it support aiming with the gamepad (like motion controls))?

you're right, i didn't mention that i tried the demo, my mistake
if i remember correctly, it doesn't support motion control, but i could be wrong about that. by the way, the demo you tried was for the usa or euro version?

Okay, I didn't remember if it had motion control or not, but thought it did. I am probably wrong. It was the european version. (I don't think there's any difference).

trust me you think some games work fine. i had cases when the issue showed up only on Smash and and hyrule warriors and everything else working fine.
that's weird. The demo for revelations was one of the first things i ever tried when i bought the wii u, so dirty gamepad can't be the case
