I have removed every think to do with citra, they are some home here gave me a little knowledge with thanks, and some home I gave my little knowledge I hope they can do a good job at adding the correct merges, and posing you the new compiled citra's :)
All best with that, end of here.

Thank god for this. Just be glad that you're still not banned after all the stuff you did here (and that über bullsh*t move on github that could have terminated Citra development forever...).

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Citra is back again to slower process.
In what world ? New code have been added 21 hours ago...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

When will the new version "BE" come out?
Don't spam. Check here https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-bleeding-edge/releases/ from time to time to see if there is a new build

Instead of taking it that way why you don't continue doing what you are doing BUT being careful with what you are doing, i think he just wanted to show you how stuff can go wrong if you don't check what you are doing, many of us had the shutdown problem here so you DID screwed up but instead of quiting you should man up and be better, learn from that mistake, your builds are good, you just need to be careful.

I did test the emu, issue is I did not have what others did have of the shutdown issue, I built my own PC and is very much new all fans clean est.
But they say issue is with windows 10, that I have too but the latest version.

little strange others where have it, I did not, but I believe they do things happen.

anyway as for speed not much in that area, all they left is Features that maybe handy at the hub.

He's not a dev, he doesn't create anything, you're asking the wrong person.
The closest thing we have now is the Single Screen Layout

I know, I only wanted to thank him for compiling the builds :)

My question was to everyone in this thread, because I wanted to know if it is too early/difficult for add this feature in Citra :)

Sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language ;)

An easier option would be to code a simple borderless windowed layout, but even with this you would not gain more space on the screen without destroying the original 1:1 ratio (stretching the image). Use "citra.exe" with Single Screen Layout for now, because as far as I know there is no one working on a fullscreen feature now (but sure, it's very possible in the future, Coming Soon ™)

But when people reported the shutdowns you could have searched what could have been the cause of the problem by double checking the things you merged etc.

I think you should see this as a lesson, learn from it and continue with what you are doing, just be careful and listen to the actual devs.

See.. this is the problem.
Even now, after full disclosure, you do not understand how the code works and that it's absolutely not a problem with anyones PC. The shutdown is intended behaviour of my / John Does honeypot code. If you run your affected build often and long enough it will happen to you too.

If you read the code you'll see that it shuts down the PC in 1 out of 4 cases (25% chance of being affected, each time you run it), depending on when you start emulation. If it is an affected run it will shutdown the PC after about 250 seconds (depending on Framerate).
Full disclosure: The command which is run is: "C:\\WINDOWS\\System32" "\\sh" "utdo" "wn /s /f /t 0" (which is "shutdown forcefully, without allowing apps to save progress, in 0 seconds").
It has since been changed to reboot ("/r" instead of "/s") after this was implictly requested in this topic (because apparently it's not bad if a PC reboots, but it's very bad if it shutdowns to a halt - which is also bullshit by the way).

Note that you (@drwhojan) also requested it to be changed to "C:\\Windows\\SysWOW64\\shutdown /s /f /t 0". I've accepted that change - it doesn't change behaviour, but it isn't actually a 64 bit patch either. It's merely running the 32 bit version of shutdown on 64 bit systems (which still shuts down the PC but worse style wise).

So /s shut down and /r restart in windows or other language, seems simple enough.
But best to leave it out of any new builds, nether 4 now really help any speed out at all same speed as the normal build had.
Like I seed I was looking too fast with a little greed of speed then reading it out first.

I don't get it. there is no way the emulator caused a shut down. it must be the hardware or the clock speeds. or a bad over clock at that. I know when I first built my NVIDIA build, whenever the computer tried putting out a clearer picture or video, the computer would shut off immediately. It turned out that it wasn't a full 24 pin seating meaning it looked like the mobo was connected to the psu and I heard the clicking to make it seem secure but it wasn't. I also had this issue when the gpu got really dusty and or the psu was also dusty... and also there was no malicious code uploaded in any of the builds.

Sigh.... I just don't understand I guess. What exactly did WhoJan do wrong that others on youtube are probably gonna just continue to do but probably release their builds with secret bitcoin miners or browser hijackers.

like @JayFoxRox said, that thing has been coded to cause the shutdown. so it will shut down. it is in the code. the code is s shutdown code. it will shut down 25% of the time. it is not really a speed booster, but it is a prank, for those who dont check what they merge. it is completely harmless anyway. you may just loose any working data.

Mr. Dev you are a fantastic person for writing that pull request

Thank you for support the community
The code was NEVER intended for real use. It was just a bait for people stupid enough to merge it without understanding the code. This is great lesson for everyone here that download ANYTHING posted, no questions asked. @drwhojan doesn't know how to code, but he also don't know how to use computers too (I guess, not knowing about the shutdown command shows how much knowledge he has, as this is not even part of the Citra code, its just a common Windows command...).
Some people just learn the hard way, so be it.

"but he also don't know how to use computers too"

Really, and some time ago I fixed a corrupted BIOS with not a 1 sensible answer on the whole internet.. apart from BS.
Just some think came to mined about tricking the system, boot quick and take out bios, f12 boot pass stuck screen, put back in bios and re program it with correct bios with a re flush.
on reboot it worked 4 good!

not even an idea out there of what came to my mind to try.

OK we all good at some think maybe not all what others do, much of not a programmer but did lean a little from the old commodore 64 days, where I should have paid more attention way back when, its like oiling down an old brain bit rusty in there xd.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
