Going by the description you posted a guy took two radically different and complex species, and blended them to create a living creature via simple injection, and claimed some of the rest is "alchemy". One of the donors being human which is also in contravention to dozens of international rulings (creating human hybrids, even a lot of things with human DNA, is rather frowned upon).

So yeah I can join the call of bullshit. If indeed someone has created such a thing then that is a massive advancement in biology, nobel prize and then some level were it not hugely illegal.
