So I thought everything was going okay, I was moving from a Gateway to A9LH and Luma3DS.

I made it to the end of part 3 and I got stuck on Section - IT - Injecting FBI

I did the dump to HS.app

Then the select FBI Injectable. App for your region, it only gave me hs.app as an available file, so I selected it.

Rebooted and click the Health and Safety icon, but it was the default 3DS Health and Safety screen.

So I followed the troubleshooting and I ran Godmode9

Navigated to SYSAND CTRAND -> title -> 00040010 folder.

Navigated to the OLD 3DS USA 0021300 -> content folder and by mistake I deleted the .tmd and. App files.

What do I have to do to restore them?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Would that be the NANDmin.bin file? I made a backup of the files9 at some point when the instructions told me to.

Can you boot the 3ds still? if you can just reinject the health app again and voila! If you lost that file you even redownload it with 3DNUS and install it using FBI. There's no need to restore a nand backup unless you absolutely cannot access the 3DS.

*EDIT*

That said when you're injecting the health app with FBI the injector will place the files you'll need in the root directory and not the same location as where you placed HS.APP and FBI. You should see 2 files after injection, an HS with banner and one without a banner.

Damn I wish I saw your message before I restored it, but I'm back to my version 4.4 now, so I guess I need to restart from step 1.

Is it normal what happened to me on stepb3 Section IV - Injecting FBI, it would still launch the stock Health and Safety app.

You most likely copied the wrong file. When you start the injector it places the files you need in the root directory (where the .bat is and stuff are) and not in the same folder as where you placed the hs.app and fbi file. It should look something like HS with banner.app and there's one without a banner. What you want to do is copy that file over to your SD card and select it by pressing the dpad.

OK OK made things worse and I don't even know how, as of last night everything was still booting after a restored my nand.

This morning I pass the power button and the blue power light turns on and off once and it won't turn off, I have it chatting now but it doesn't make a difference.

You might've deleted the arm9loaderhax.bin from your sd card. Open up luma3ds zip file and extract the arm9loaderhax.bin to the root of your sd card.

As for the h&s app. As far as I know, the injectable file in the tutorial doesn't work on versions less than v9.0. So you'll have to update first to the latest firmware before injecting.

Thanks, that worked, I can boot in to my 3DS now.

I'm trying to start over from step 1, my firmware is back to 4.0 and I follow the browser link to load Decrypt9WIP.dat and it loads but then says an error has occurred please save data and restart, but I get the same error every time.

So confused, why wouldn't I have to re-do it, my firmware says 3.0 instead of 2.0 from part 1 and it order to do part 2 I need to be in Decrypt mode and I can't because I get that error loading that url.

He's right. Go directly to the step after installing a9lh. I think that's section III of part 3.

hold select then turn on 3ds. if a screen appears instantly you have a9lh and you shouldn't redo the guide
also do this

How can I go to part 3 if my firmware doesn't show 2.0 that happens in part 2?

When I hold select at bootup, the Lumas 3D configuration appears with the 4 options selected that it said to do in the guide.

...the cringe.

Ok, so when you injected hs.app you basically dumped the health and safety app, then injected it back into itself. Hs.app is the h&s dump. You need to inject it with FBI and then inject the new file onto your 3ds, or use one of the premade ones in Plailect's guide.

As far as restoring what you broke, you are already on the right track. You restored your NAND backup using hourglass9 I assume? That will restore the NAND without removing a9lh. You cant do a h&s dump on your firmware version, so you will need to update. Since u are on a 4.x firmware, you need the firmware.bin from Plailect's guide. Part 3 (a9lh), section 3, step 6. After u update try injecting one of the files Plailect gives u for injecting. Put all of them in the folder and hourglass9 will auto-detect the one you need. Don't reinject the hs.app.

I also STRONGLY suggest you dont use godmode9 any more unless you tried everything else first. If you delete the wrong stuff, you can even brick an a9lh system. Be careful...

Do as the others said, follow the guide from section 3, part 3. You still have a9lh after the NAND restore. You don't need to redo the whole guide.

I don't even remember how I restored it, it found the nand already on my 3ds that it restored, I don't even think I copied it back.

So after the whole Godmode9 mess up, I thought I could delete everything and start again, but that didn't work.

So I copied the arm9loaderhax.bin to root, and then I got an error on bootup and it told me to copy the finware.bin to the Lumas folder and I did that.

So now I'm back in, system version shows 4.0 instead of 2.0 like it did before.

If I follow your instructions, part 3, section 3, part 6 says to run a system update, so for sure for sure I'm safe doing that?
