Hello folks. I decided to buy the mario luigi 32 gb bundle but i recently found out that i need that wiimote thing to play wii mode games. I also found out about nintendont that lets you play gamecube games on wii u.
Now i am not sure . While in wii mode can i use just the wii classic controller without the wiimote and does the wii classic controller work with nintendont?please help me and give me some advice what to buy. Thanks

Ok so i should get a wii mote and a wii classic controller
If you plan on playing some of the later wii games, you should get a wiimotion+ controller and a nunchuck if you can. All the wii homebrew should support the motion+, and you'll need it for a few wii games. A great many games also require the nunchuck.

But if you don't plan on playing too many wii games, a non-motion+ wiimote should suffice (google motion+ compatible games to see if there's anything you'd want to play using them).

Nintendont supports the official Wii U USB-to-gamecube adaptor (originally made to allow use of gamecube controllers on wii u for smash). You can use that to play gamecube games with legit gamecube controllers.

If you want to play nes and snes games with legit controllers, I use this, and it works really well (though other people seem to have less luck). There are other options like this out there, this is just what I use: https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-NES-SNES-Controller-Adapter/dp/B00B2K0C8M/

there is only a few wii games that allow the use of a classic controll. zenoblade/last story/arc rise fantasia/ monster hunter tri. to name a few. Games like donkey kong returns and new super mario wii have classic controller cheat codes so you can use it.

That is for Wii games. All Gamecube games will support the classic controller through Nintendont. But some games who depend on analog triggers, like Super Mario Sunshine, may be very difficult to play using a Classic Controller.
