So, my payloads (Uncart, Decrypt9 and EmuNAND9) were like 3-4 months old. Today I decided to finally update them. This is what I did:

- Remove the 4 slotKeyXXX.bin files and replace them with the aeskeydb.bin file
- Update the EmuNAND9 payload (y_EmuN9)
- Replace Uncart with Decrypt9 (x_Uncart -> x_Dec9)
- Replace Decrypt9 with HourGlass9 (start_Dec9 -> start_HourG9)
- Added d9logo.bin to the root of the SD card

The thing is, when I press any button to load the payloads, they don't load. Basically the system hangs while I'm pressing the buttons. But when I release them, it starts to boot SysNAND.

I tried deleting config.bin and configuring Luma3DS again because I had a similar problem before and it worked back then. But now it didn't.

I'm using Luma3DS 5.5 (normal version) and no-screeninit A9LH v2.

Also, Old 3DS (not XL)

Thanks,

Remove the luma config.bin in the luma folder and setup with "Autoboot Sysnand" or if you're using emunand don't toggle that.
Always worked for me.
Also, show a screenshot of your root and the payloads folder

Already did that:

Also, a screenshot of my SD card: (Sry but GBATemp doesn't recognize prnt.sc links)

And the payloads folder:

Nope, it's not booting.
You do have a no screen init a9lh, what can explain decrypt9 payloads not booting as they require screen init.
Try updating to screen init a9lh version.
It will probably work with those payloads afterwards.
I thought luma3ds would do a screen init , but apparently, it isn't doing so.

The payloads were working before I updated them, and I was using no-screeninit. Well, might as well try screeninit, but if there's a solution to use no-screeninit, I would prefer it. I like my system to look "stock".

Ok, changed from no-screeninit to screeninit A9LH. It's still not booting HourG9 / Dec9 / EmuN9.

However, when I changed screeninit using Plailect's guide (https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Updating-arm9loaderhax), it booted the SafeA9LHInstaller payload without a problem.

Just in case, I redownload the payloads. Still not booting.

Wait: I tried renaming Decrypt9.bin to arm9loaderhax.bin now that I changed to screeninit. It booted!

So, I copied back the 4 slotKeys.bin files and now they are working! Aren't they supposed to work with the aeskeydb.bin file? I'm using the latest payloads.
