You would have access to mostly the same features, plus:

• 6-8 seconds boot time (so it looks and behaves like on a stock 3DS, except when your console boots it's already running a CFW and ready to rock)
• No need for EmuNAND anymore, you can be on SysNAND with always the latest version installed
• You have brick protection (software side) since A9LH boots even before your NAND is initialized. So you can flash backups in case something goes wrong.
• Wait Wait Wait, Your telling me this will make gateway always work on the latest firmware?!?!?!?
• Will this make the homebrew Launcher work as well?
• Will my emunand transfer over to sysnand?
• Will this let me install cias that arent legit on sysnand? Cause i'm about to make some rom hacks.
Edit: Also,
• You say it will Look and Behave like o3ds, what exactly does that mean. (Besides longer boot time)

@Kyojin

Using sysNAND only is not the best choice to cut the best failsafe (emunand).

Sure a9lh is supposed to have firm protection and you should be able
to run something like decrypt9 to re-install your firmware, but it depends
on the cfw or gw to protect your console not bricking in fw updates or
to properly block safe_firm.

I say only 11.0, 'friends' and online gaming > surprise surprise.

Next update will find a way to workaround protection???!!!???

As well for 9.x related homebrew won't work and next update
could block homebrew launcher.

I'll keep my emunand, it doesn't hurt at all to do so.

not an old 3ds, stock, like you had no cfw installed.
you can install a homebrew launcher cia instead of using normal entry points.
you can install any .cias you want, and you won't have an emunand, only a sysnand, so yes it will carry over.

This is all already available, so yes as long as Gateway implements Firm0/Firm1 protection on their cfw then it should work with whatever the latest version is.

I am confused, it justs automaticaly boots to sysnand Gw Mode? So if i get this i will no longer have a emunand? or will my sysnand become like an emunand???

EDIT: if you were wondering what it will change specifically for your GW, then we don't know exactly yet, sorry. None of the testers gave precise info so far.

• I don't know about Gateway since there aren't any clear infos on the upcoming update yet. But since the update will include A9LH support, then I guess yes.
• Yes, the Homebrew Launcher CIA can be installed to the SysNAND homemenu
• Yes, you can transfer it to SysNAND and update it after that
• Yes, using a CFW like Luma3DS, Cakes or ReiNAND enables installing unsigned CIAs.
• No, it's not "behave like an O3DS", but like an non modified 3DS. It means that your console boots to your system in 6 to 8 seconds and that's it, you don't have to launch anything else after that, just enjoy.
I don't know if the GW A9LH will be exactly like this though, as I guess it will need to have the cart inserted and stuff.

Using sysNAND only is not the best choice to cut the best failsafe (emunand).

You can keep an EmuNAND after installing A9LH if you prefer. If your SysNAND fails (on a hardware level) you can setup an EmuNAND later using a former backup.

Yeah, sure it depends on the firmware, but all the active CFWs do it, so I don't understand what you are trying to say here.

If you are referring to the Luma issue, this doesn't have anything to do with Nintendo or A9LH.

Next update will find a way to workaround protection???!!!???

Doubt it, since it's protected. They could make some attempts, buy they would risk bricking legit consoles.

I'll keep my emunand, it doesn't hurt at all to do so.

Sure thing! :) The GW update will probably still use EmuNAND I guess.

Since I started a hype train almost 2 months ago when they first updated their site (https://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-site-update.420969/), I assumed (big mistake by me) that a release would be within the month of April. Here we are approaching June and no REAL info (video) to back the release info. They may be trying to liquidate stock and close up support shop so what better way to do that than what we have witnessed to this point. Really dissapointed in GW handling of this update. They deserve scrutiny for this reason. Not scrutiny for how the device works, rather how they bait people with info that will be delayed an unknown amount of time. We are already used to lengthy wait times between releases and that is OK, but what is not OK is too lead people to believe a release is near when in fact it is not.

There are still tools like boot manager without protection and a single bug/time could mean everything.

Doubt it, since it's protected. They could make some attempts, buy they would risk bricking legit consoles.

Depends on Nintendo, it's still safe for legal customers shipping in their console for repairs.

It's rabbits race until they will find a way to get you, update or ban wise.

sysNAND only would be a lot safer having a hardmod.

a9lh and ntrcardhax (assumed by the 10.3 limit) are not entrypoints. They're arm9/arm11 kexploits.
GW has not officially announced any new entrypoints.
They are entry points, its the same as using cubic ninja to install iron hax. You use nds profile exploit to install arm9loaderhax which becomes your new entrypoint.

If a9lh was an entrypoint you wouldn't need another exploit to install it.

You need a different arm9 exploit to install a9lh. And to install that, you need a k11 sploit. To install a k11 sploit you need a USERLAND exploit. THAT is your true entrypoint.
