Hello reader,

I've searched the forums, but I couldn't find anything similar.
First of all, I've got most things like loadiine and pyGecko working. I am experiencing a mildy infuriating error though. Sometimes when I try to boot a game via loadiine, an error along the lines of exception DSI type occurs. The weird thing is that it does not happen all the time. Other times the games boot fine. I'm wondering if this is a know issue and if there is a fix for it.

Here is some additional info:
FW 5.5.1
Loadiine GX v0.3 (latest)
So far the error has occured on Star Fox Zero (fixed with repacked data001.cpk), and some VC games (with the xml files in the code folder)
I am self-hosting.
As stated before, I applied the loadtimes and sound fix to Star Fox.
I'm using a Kingston 64GB card, formatted to Fat32 and 32kb allocation file size.

Thanks in advance!

If you want somebody to help you, it would help to provide more detail:
  • Which firmware version do you have?
  • Which version of loadiine are you using?
  • Which games cause the DSI exception?
  • Are you self-hosting or do you use a website? (this one isn't particulary important in this case)
  • Have you done something to the game files?
  • Filesystem allocation file size
Remember that hacking isn't error proof, and that some exploits and versions of loadiine are more unstable than others. If you provide more information it's easier for people to help you than if you just say it doesn't work sometimes.

Loadiine GX v0.3 is not an stable build, but an experimental one (at least acording to dimok's github). Can you try with v0.2? I'm not sure if it exists for 5.5.1, but if it does, it may solve the problem (or create new ones). Experimental versions aren't good to use unless you are a developer or you really need the new features.
Have you tried loading a game without fixes and with the original xml files?
Also, I'm only a user, so I may not be able to solve your problem.

0.3 loadiine is nightly not stable release. It even says to expect bugs. Latest stable release is 0.2.

But yes, I see DSI occasionally. I just try again and it works.

5.5.1 isn't supported by v0.2 though. So I assume I should use the latest nightly version then?
With nightly versions you can't know which will work. Keep trying different versions until one works well enough. The newest could be the best, or have a lot of bugs that the previous one didn't have.

I got the DSI error one time before. I believe I was using g a nightly build and I tried launching TPHD and got that error twice. then tried the next day to boot the game and it worked. I didn't edit any files. just keep retry ing or go download loadiine v0.2 stable build.

edit:when I say I didn't edit any files I mean after receiving the dsi error I didn't do anything at all I just shutdown the WiiU and tried the next day. no deleting files or recopy ing over my dump of TPHD it just simply started working again.

The OP is on 5.5.1, so they can NOT use anything other than the nightly builds. IIRC build 7e4313d was the most stable release I used that had the least amount of problems with it, but it does not support DLC. It was either build a0c73ed or build e71fb52 that supported DLC and was the most stable for me. I really need to keep track of which builds I am using better. :D

Edit: I am currently running build a0c73ed which supposedly fixed an issue with people using update folders, but I don't know for sure, since I always overwrite files with the update instead. However, with some previous versions I saw some people posting about problems using update folders, which were fixed by overwriting the base files with the update files.
