also calling that at some point, somewhere down the line, somebody's going to use a homebrew exploit for an actual malicious attack on unsuspecting end users (think wild world, but on your actual console) and people are gonna get hysterical and companies are also scared of lawsuits if that happens

That already happened partially on the DS (taihen.nds) and 3DS (gateway), and honestly I think it could be interesting to have an exploit developped and used specifically (at first) for malware.

update my router isnt blocking shit, just updated my 3ds emunand without touching anything router wise.
Try blocking the ip addresses of the update servers, not just the site names.

Also, you should try access the sites being blocked in IE, if its properly being blocks, your router will throw you an error message saying that the following site is being blocked.

if you could give me ip adresses I could try.

I wanted to create a new thread but I thought I might as well post here since it's relevant.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE has been censored and the community is aware. We have people undoing the censorship. But everybody that learns how apply the uncencored files also learns how to pirate games. With media giving coverage Nintendo's censorship is leading people towards piracy.

It's almost 2 months later, the exploit isn't patched and there is now more incentive than ever to use the exploit. Nintendo this isn't helping your business.

i imagine any lost sales are insignificant. do many/most people even care much about the censorship? i don't think your average player does, and naturally nintendo has the average player in mind.
i know some people who are even scared to pirate a movie online, i don't think this will 'convert' many people to piracy!

Nintendo won't update as now that anyone can hack any wii u they can have a hope of selling the millions of extra units before nx

Nintendo at a loss? If anything they didn't focus well on the WiiU like they should have. If anything only a very few games make me proud of having a WiiU, Sad to say I thought when I bought a WiiU Id praise being on it more than I would on my PS4, but from time to time it collects dust and only gets played when a new DLC/Patch gets thrown out, else it's my Dust Collector 720p lol.

Besides, Nintendo doesn't lose anything in sales. Game stores buy tons of copies from publishers and are sold to us buyers, in the end the only one at a loss is the game store if we opt for piracy. Most stores will stock up on games they think people will want a mass demand on, and in the end if you pirate it or buy it, it doesn't matter, the game stores benefit from it only.
