So far, nobody knows if this could be done or not.
This thing is still under investigation, but it's hard with little to no hacking/ASM knowledge
Nope. I already sorted this with a few other people, this config file has nothing to do withI thinks is on the config file of config folder...
Let's just hope someone with RE experience would help you with thisYeah, I tried to figure that out with Snes games. While I know that the functions exist for GX2 in ASM, debugging them is proving to be a nightmare. The only lead I got is that using PyGecko can help find the offsets and addresses (like a cheat code), and then someone could make a "cheat" to toggle on and off for things like forced 16:9 aspect ratio, filtering, gamma adjusting. Yeah, it's something that one shouldn't try to do on their own
If this could be for Video output instead of hardcoded game resolution, that would be better.I've recently found an address in memory to get 16/9 letterbox mode in OOT. So it could be possible to get 16/9 in anamorphic mode, too or increase the horizontal FOV. Need to do some more research
but unsure about other VC systems

If only we could have a way to apply stuff from DS VCs, that would be amazing. That's my hope, so far, no one has stepped up to the plate, or are simply busy, I don't know. Kinda makes me wish I actually stuck to my programming classes all those years ago. It seems that using PyGecko will help me find and alter memory addresses in the RPX/RPL without converting, so as for the OP's question, the same could be done with N64 games, just a lot more tedious

On the other hand, I heard someone is attempting to port Retroarch to the HB loader, so who knows, maybe we could get better under the unofficial way
