Hacking Don't Buy a FW1163XXXX[6] Mario Kart 8 Bundles ... Come with 5.5.0 :((

Friend just got this console with FW1163XXXX[6] and it ended up having 5.5.0. Back to Walmart that one will go.

Going to go to another store to see if I can get some FW113 (like mine) or with a . 4's or 5's ...

I didn't think they made any new ones of this bundle. Store says they've had them for a while.

Models are harder to come by ... Seems Nintendo quickly exchanged older units for newer ones since 5.3.2 ... but not a single 5.4 unit ... WTF

Any advice on where to get one?

I just recently purchased a Skylanders Trap Team Bundle at an online-shop after they drastically reduced the price to get rid of them. It came with 4.0.2.

Why not just look at the online serial database for wii u and go looking for bundles online then?

Apart from that you could try eBay. Thats always a good source for consoles.
Just ask the people directly for the firmware.

I can confirm that FW42965XXXX also comes with 5.5.0 (not listed on the serial database).

5.3.2/5.4.0 systems are really rare now.

Edit: This is for the US and the Mario Kart 8 Bundle as well.

I honestly didn't think Nintendo would make more Wii U's for that bundle ... Assumed they stopped at 5.4 since nobody is freaking buying these things anymore ... especially at $299. Price should be at $249 to stimulate people to buy a wii u with their Mii phone app that was released.

Skylanders you say ? I have a 5.3.2 version of Smash so I can just update it for him. What about the Mario 3d World.

if you can find a 3D World bundle near you, i'd pick that up for a better value. and it would likely already be 5.3.2 as long as it was a NEW bundle. but the swap force is probably old stock, but you could buy online

15 day return policy - no questions asked with receipt. (could of taken the mk8 dlc code because they did such a crappy job checking).
