Hacking MenuHax - CtrBootManager - Gateway mess

I had MenuHax with CtrBootManager setup so it would boot in Gateway by holding L. It worked fine but I had a 50/50 bootrate which was starting to become fucking annoying. I found a recent topic where somebody advised to replace a new payload (found here) with the old one, and I did so (just replaced, didn't install anything). Now while holding L it boots into Homebrew even though my boot.cfg is set to GW.3dsx. I tried editing the ropbin boot.3dsx to auto.3dsx and that just gave me an error while holding L, telling me to hold the power button and shut down.
So like a stubborn dick I just moved on to another method (this one) and followed until step 4. Now, again, it still boots only in Homebrew even though my boot.cfg is set to Gateway.

Now I have a ropbinpayload_menuhax_EUR11272_new3ds and another ropbinpayload in the root of my SD card. The fuck do I do now? Thanks.

I have a 95% boot rate. Plus my 3ds never shuts off when I'm not using it, it's in sleep mode.

You might want to just stick to sleep mode instead of shutting it off when you're not using it.

I did, changed boot.3dsx to auto.3dsx, but if I hold L it gives me "an error has occured, power off" bullshit.

I feel you. Maybe other gateway users can try to help. Setting up reinand took me half hour

Solved. Just deleted MenuHax, re-installed it, replaced the payload and edited it. Thank god.

What is there to fiddle with? You just replace files. You don't need a9lh to use aureinand, reinand, or cakes. They work just fine with menuhax
