I have been looking all around for information about the sky3ds plus and there only appear to be about the old one so I posted in this thread. I don't have the flashcard yet.

Questions I have:

1. Can I install the games from a T-Flash and not nessecerly with a cable plugged from the flashcard?

2. Does it support cia game format?

3. Does it support .3ds homebrews without ninjhax?

4. Does it have a high chance to not work?

5. Does it change something in the console itself?

6. How much time does it take to update firmware?

7. How much time does it take to switch game compared to the old sky3ds?

Thank you for answering

Personally never owned a sky3ds plus, but I am well informed as to how it works.

1. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here. I think you are asking if you can transfer games to the sky3ds plus using a microsd card adapter connected to a computer and not using the cable from the flashcard. If this is what you are asking, yes you can do this. You aren't really "installing" anything, as you are only transferring the rom file onto the sky3ds plus. The sky3ds plus then emulates an actual cartridge.

2. No, you cannot install .cia files. These are only usable on Gateway/CFW (custom firmware). The sky3ds plus only emulates an actual cartridge. Most games can be found in a .3ds format anyways, which can be used on the sky3ds plus.

3. I have heard of .3ds files that are used on Gateway to install various installers, but these probably do not work on sky3ds plus. Gateway is able to use unsigned code, so it is able to see these unsigned .3ds files. Since Nintendo never made a cartridge of hacked tools or homebrew, I highly doubt that these would work on the sky3ds plus. I know that you said without ninjhax, but if you really wanted homebrew, I would suggest to add Cubic Ninja to the sky3ds plus and use ninjhax.

4. I'm pretty sure that the sky3ds will work most of the time. Be sure to avoid counterfeit microsd cards, as many people have issues such as corruption when using counterfeit microsd cards. The only problem with it is having to press the button to cycle through the games.

Hopefully I was able to answer your questions. Feel free to ask more if you are still unsure on something.

-edit- Didn't see your changes to your original post, so I am editing mine to reflect your questions.

5. It does not change anything in the console, but be sure to research on a private header to use with the sky3ds plus if you plan on playing online. Otherwise, you run the risk of being banned from online. You will need an exploitable 3ds, or you have to trust someone online (if you buy one online). This is one major flaw in the sky3ds plus.

6 and 7. I cannot answer these questions as I do not own a sky3ds plus.
