I really like this prefix thing. Hopefully more "quality" or Release threads get these prefixes. That would make browsing through this subforum much more user friendly! :)

Yeah, and I will ask if I could have them too for "Tutorial" and not "Official"

I'd be glad to help test this! ^_^

I'll download the latest and report back, by way of editing this post.

I don't see any report about new 3DSX file i've posted so how can i work on something if it's not even been tested?
People don't want to help development with the thing, really, most just want to play their RPG Maker games on their 3DS, and few actually help with development, thus the high downloads and low responses.

This...

Sad but true.
Most of these are likely the same people that think they could play Pokemon fangames made with RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials which has been clearly stated not to work with this app, or expect to just easily play their games at fullspeed easily.

But this doesn't make sense. If they just want to play RPG Maker games on mobile devices, and don't care at all about supporting homebrew developers, they could simply install the Android version of EasyRPG which has working audio and runs MUCH faster then the 3DS version.

Loaded it up on my o3ds as well. Same results as n3ds as far as starting, hangs on "Debug console started" on 10.7 Emunand/9.2 Sysnand (using ARN ntr firm) while launching just fine on 9.2 Sysnand (9.0 firm) with AuReiNand. Sounds work well on o3ds and it runs at 25-26fps.

Test suite (~6mb) loads in about 30s while something like Yume NIkki (~70mb) takes 6-8min, and as long as I give it time it always seems to load. Even left Yume 2kki (~800mb) loading up the other night and it had successfully reached the menu by the time I woke up.

Using gridlauncher on n3ds with youtube to run easyrpg on emunand and link between worlds cartridge on sysnand, o3ds is using link between worlds cart to run easyrpg on both emunand and sysnand. It doesn't seem to matter how many tries I give it on n3ds or o3ds, always launches in sysnand when booted with 9.0 firm and hangs otherwise.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
