I finally took the plunge and went 100% sysnand, bye bye emunand R.I.P.

All seems to be running smoothly, no noticeable problems yet, running the latest 3.9.0

Not seen any booting speed improvements yet over emunand, but will try on a faster card tonight when i get some peace at home to concentrate

This for me now is like REAL CFW just like back in the old PS3 days

did u have to recopy your Nintendo3DS folder for that?

or can you just wipe your emuNAND partition without losing your Cias/saves that were used on emuNAND.?

hello all, so i took the plung and followed the guide to install A9LH with AuReinand with updatedsysNand. Everything went perfect first try following the guide, on AuReinand 3.9 latest.

Now my question is, since it merged my emunand to sysnand am i able to update without worring? As it patches Firm0/Firm1?

Also since the tutorial required tiny umbrella to downgrade, it created another 3ds file system inside the folder "Nintendo 3ds" can i delete those extra file system since emunand is merged?

thanks for the awesom work!

Yeah, I'm so busy messing with my 3DS, I don't even have time to play any games :(

Now there's not so much to do.. Already got A9LH with sysNAND.. I can finally play some games.

*Goes and plays FE: Fates*

the beauty and irony of our unlocked state is that i only play super mario 3d land and nsmb2 anyway, which are both available legit :D

Hi,

first, thx for your work :yaynds:

It work flawlessly in updated SysNand mode except for one thing, I launch HBL with cia loader and, even it it actually success to launch HBL, all 3dsx I try to launch simply kick me back to HBL. The screen flash red 2 times then return to HBL...is it normal ? can I do something to make it work or is it only working though emunand ?

no, it doesn't work
Well, I suppose you are still formatting the SD card... Just more of a complete format :P I recommend Minitool Partition Wizard for all this stuff, if you don't want to use Windows' own Partition Manager!

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
