Make sure you replaced the "rei" folder too. 3.7.1, if you don't use the "usepatchedfw" flag, only writes *one* more byte to SD to remember the last boot config (other than 1 MB for the FIRM file).

Yeah, did all that... not sure what is causing boot times to increase by 10 seconds using 3.7.1 as opposed to 3.6.1.

Edit: looks like using the usepatchedfw flag brought boot speeds back to normal now after starting over again. Not sure what features this will affect but at least it boots 15seconds as opposed to 25 on my 128gb

I'm using an O3DSXL with AurieNand + A9LH. BigBlueMenu injected takes forever to install .CIA's to EmuNand. It seems to take longer than when I was using RxTools with menuhax.

I tried the 3.7.1 with GBA games, it works well, the only downside is that I've got to unwrap every CIA after, because I use linked nands.
Except that, everything is ok so far.

Quick question, not sure if stupid or not but, how many patched FW files should there be? 2 or 3? One for Emu and one for Sys, or one for Emu, one for Sys, and one for Sys90?
I could of sworn I saw three this morning. Deleted them when I went to 3.7.1 this morn just to make sure they were being replaced with up to date ones, but now I only see the two.
Just want to make sure I wasn't just tired haha.

I can't see how writing a one-byte file to the SD can "slow down by seconds". You either have faulty SD cards with very long seek times (can't do anything about that), or it's placebo.
Anyway, 3.7.1 broke using the .dat from a 9.0 NAND booted via A9LH (I know I'm probably the only one who does that for testing reasons, but whatever :D ).
3.7.2 fixes it and clean ups the code a bit. https://github.com/AuroraWright/AuReiNand/releases/tag/v3.7.2

Thanks for the early reply, do you think i can find easy n3ds with firm 10.4 or below? I've been away from the scene for months, I have a o3ds rxtools.
Sure, all the n3DS (XL)'s in the market come with at most 10.3, which is downgrade-able to 9.2.

So feel free to buy which ever one interests you the most.

Great, one last thing i dont understand. Most people downgrade but this topic says there's a 10.4 firm support. Lets say my firmware comes with 9.9 or 10.1, I must downgrade?
