I downgraded my New3ds Xl EUR to 9.2,
Finally got it all set up and the only game I really wanted was new style boutique 2.
The place where I get the file says its for 9.9 minimum so that means I can't play it?

Then you should set up emuNAND and ReiNAND CFW

Yes als you need to update emunand to 10.4 (to avoid any problems for sysnand, unlink your nands before doing it)

Unlinking nands mean Nintendo Id? As I never linked one after downgrading.

How would I go about updating emunand to 10.3?
I get the jist of most things but when someone says update the emunand to 10.3 I go all piggy eyed lol

You can update to 10.3 using sysupdater though

Only in emunand, in sysnand, no.

NAND ≠ NNID. Follow the steps in this guide for unlinking NANDs, and go from there. The video you watched should have covered this but oh well.

Thank you this helped alot getting my head around the terms.

So am I getting it right?
Booting normally is the sysNAND?
Booting menuhax will boot emuNAND?

So basically have kinda 2 systems?
If I load menuhax and then boot reiNAND I can go to system settings and update firmware to 10.4 and it won't effect the sysNAND which will still be on 9.2?

Exactly. EmuNAND is an emulated SysNAND running on a hidden partition on your SD. It's safe to update through system settings as long as you're on EmuNAND. Never update SysNAND. In fact, forget it even exists.
