If you do not know Japanese, there's not much point in watching videos on Niconico IMO.its like youtube but better if anyone can atleast translate the menus that would be cool

Unless you're like me and only use niconico for cat videos and music. If you do not know Japanese, there's not much point in watching videos on Niconico IMO.

It might not be possible if the menu text and stuff is held server-side, and I'd imagine it is.
Unless the said words are using kanji, if you don't know how to look up kanji with SKIP or radical search that can be painful.I'm pretty sure localizations on niconico are served per request.
It's a silly translation request.. Honestly, if you're that interested in using niconico, just click everything so you can learn what it does. Grab a katakana chart so you can read things like メニュー or use an app on your phone to translate it. Single-word translations aren't that bad in Japanese, it's the sentences that kill everything.

It could be done with a userscript or browser addon.Unless you're like me and only use niconico for cat videos and music.

On low-resolution screens like the 3DS screens Google Translate works pretty bad as soon as the kanji has a too large number of strokes. When I started learning Japanese I had trouble with many games so I used Google Translate but I quickly abandoned this idea as about 75% of the time what it said made absolutely no sense, and I'm not talking about the semi-nonsense GT usually gives.\
Google Translate does fine with most single kanji and many of the 常用漢字。

Wasn't even aware there was a 3DS appNo it couldn't, because the OP is asking about the 3DS App, not the desktop browser version
It's only available on the Japanese eShop as you might guess ^-^Wasn't even aware there was a 3DS app
