Yes it's the 4.5.0-10E(Full) from the o3ds section and I used a Smash Bros o3ds XL from EU.

How do you mean Smash Bros? If you mean that you extracted the FW from it, you shouldn't do things that way, The FW included with games doesn't include the browser for some reason.
The browser is referred to as spider and could be gotten seperately from 'that site' if need be. As for changing the button i'm really not sure, I would assume holding the restore combo would cancel it out but maybe it doesn't like both button presses attempting to be initiated, you could possibly try removing the ropbin/and or boot.3dsx file [back them up just in case] from your sd card. I think it's the ropbin that it loads. Looks like it writes the settings for Menuhax into extdata so there is no settings file to delete from the sd card.

I'm getting this error message when trying to use browserHax
N3DS 9.5.22E (trying to downgrade to 9.2.0-20E Full)

if can help, i stuck on sysupdater home screen around 20 times and if i press Y nothing happened. So I try to turn on the wireless, boot ftp brony, after 5 seconds press twice b to exit, run sysupdater with the WIRELESS ON, press y and... Magic! The downgrade process starts at first time!! I stuck on rebooting after 10 seconds so i hard reset, but now i have my 9.2

What i mean with Smash Bros is the 3ds model I have. It was a limited offer with Smash bros preinstalled and custom cover plates. Should not have an influence, but I thought I should mention it.
Removed the ropbins and the boot.3ds but it changes nothing. Is there any way to recover my nand if I don't have a dump of it? I might get a hard mod if that was possible.

As far as I'm aware you're pretty much screwed now :(. The NAND dump currently would be of no use to you given that it appears your 3ds is bricked. If you had made a backup of it before you attempt to downgrade again, a hardmod would have fixed things but I don't think there is anything you can do now. Maybe have a read through the thread and see if someone else had a similar issue.

Apparently this can be fixed by formatting the sd card [you can copy your files somewhere else first] then copying across the minimum you need to get it working again. You would be free to copy all your files back later. If it still doesn't work the only other real choice is to system format [I would recommend using svdt https://gbatemp.net/threads/svdt-save-data-explorer-manager.396562/ to backup saves on downloaded games first]. Be aware however that this does mean you lose EVERYTHING, unlinked NNID [although you can relink later], your streetpass, activity log, all of it. That said you would likely want to do it later anyway if you were going the CFW route [eShop doesn't work in emunand with linked NAND's].

Just here to say that I have sucessfully downgraded my 10.3.0-28E n3DS to 9.2.0-20E, using Ironhax as an entry point and Julian20's libkhax sysUpdater. At first I was getting a black screen when loading sysUpdater, or a freeze when Y was pressed, which I fixed by loading FTP-3DS, waiting for 5 seconds than exiting with L+R+Down+B. After that, I kept getting the "Failed to get CIA file information" error, even though I had verified the MD5 and SHA-256 of all 102 files on the SD. I fixed that by renaming the "updates" folder to "Updates". Whether this was actually because of the capital U, or whether I was doing something by just renaming it, I do not know, but as soon as I did that, it worked perfectly, including rebooting at the end.

I already downgrade my O3ds XL from 9.4 to 9.2. I didn't upgrade to 10.3 before downgrade. Do I need to upgrade to 10.3 first in N3DS xl?

No, you'll need to install ninjhax/oot3dhax but choose 9.2 (or whatever FW you're downgrading to) when installing it. Or you can use ninjhax/oot3dhax to install the Menuhax 9.2 version.

This is for the 3DS, not DS.

What's the error?[/QUOTE]
I know lol...
The error literally is "an error has ocurred" blablabla please power off and retry, if it comes again, contact support etc. Managed to get back to 10.3 via recovery mode but I can't seem to downgrade.

It's worth a try.

ok i got this extremely weird downgrade.

I just bought a new N3DS US today, it cames with 9.6 firmware.

I followed the instruction TheStoneBanana and used menuhax with ftBRONY trick, got into sysupdater in the first try, pressed Y. It ran for about 2-3 mins then "An error has occurred screen" appeared.
To my horror i tried to reboot, nothing happen, so i guess i bricked.

I went to recovery mode, tried to update to the latest firmware. However, again when the progess bar filled about 1/8 way, it failed to update and reboot.
So i take out the microsd card then for some reason was able to boot normally and saw this

So is it a fake downgrade or my lady luck helped me? Should i redo the downgrade process again?

edit: booting with microsd card inserted doesn't work.

@Santaros

I've tryed the menuhax_manager and I think that it didnt hax correctly... but I sucessfully exploited it by the browser... so, in order to downgrade it, I just have to put the sysupdater in the 3ds folder, create the updates folder, download the 9.2.0-20U version and run the sysupdater inside the homebrew channel that I get by the browser?

Thanks bro for your help, you re such a nice guy ^^

PS: in the site that I'm downloading the 9.2 version (the same as the video in the post) it says to use the "sysUpdater-0.4.2b-libkhax-SAFEMODE-priority"...

Which one I use? the one from here or the one from there?

Thanks again :D

I had the same thing. I dont know what happened to your system during trying updating. But my wont boot after downgrading also. It is because there is stuff for the higher version (9.6 in your case) home menu saved on the sd card. It cant be loaded on the old system menu. backup your sd data, and try to find it on the sd (somewhere in the "Nintendo 3ds" folder). Or just empty the sd card, and start from scratch. Or search this forum what to do best.If you want to transfer some data for example.

Ah yes, my downgrade finaly worked. New3ds XL MH4U Edition was 9.9 (later 10.3) now 9.2.0 EU. Now I am Happy! Will prepare the 32GB SD now.

Well... I've reached the sysupdater app and it appeared to me to press A to update, Y to downgrade and B to exit... But the buttons dont answer my call... The only button that responds is the power button...

I dont know what I have done wrong )=

Did you upgrade to 10.3 before you did the downgrade process? Thanks.
