Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

I see all these posts of success just to see people later followup with "but *hax doesn't work anymore" Please don't call out successful downgrade to 9.2 until you've validated everything 100% works as it should.

I had the same thing. I dont know what happened to your system during trying updating. But my wont boot after downgrading also. It is because there is stuff for the higher version (9.6 in your case) home menu saved on the sd card. It cant be loaded on the old system menu. backup your sd data, and try to find it on the sd (somewhere in the "Nintendo 3ds" folder). Or just empty the sd card, and start from scratch. Or search this forum what to do best.If you want to transfer some data for example.

Ah yes, my downgrade finaly worked. New3ds XL MH4U Edition was 9.9 (later 10.3) now 9.2.0 EU. Now I am Happy! Will prepare the 32GB SD now.

I finaly try this method on my O3DSXL (with the actual last firware) via Browserhax. I have all the file and the hoembrew run but when i run the app is says this error:
ERROR : Can't force threads to core 1.

And after the load i can't do anything is like the app frezee. Somebody can help me?

I Think the home menu theme settings. When you remove the data that contains it, it sould be ok.
Must be somewhere in the "NINTENDO 3DS" Folder. Cannot confirm.
I am setting up a new sd for emunand, I keep the old as a backup. I did not research which data caused that on the old sd.

I quote my self problem solved. I simple realized i can't use Browserhax for this, i need to use Ninjhax and now is all ok i downgrade my console.

Yes this is the way I am doing it too.
Edit: I exported the imported saves additionly. But I think I wont need it.

I'm trying to install ironhax before I downgrade, What is the full title for the firmware.first example: 10-3-0-28 is the current version format in ironhax installer?

This is perfectly normal, and fine.
Everyone who downgraded a N3DS got to 9.1J.
9.2J from that is o site and duowan thread is in fact a mislabeled 9.1J.
A "real" 9.2J is nowhere to be found or the files were never saved before N pulled them offline.

getting *hax working again really doesn't have anything to do with the downgrade being successful. I think their enthusiasm and reporting is reasonably timed.

Yes. Follow the instructions, be patient, and recognize that this is RISKY.

I got the folder updates on the main folder of my SD and everything seems to be on the right place. I am trying to donwgrade a new 3ds.

I don't have that problem but a lot of N3DS users do. You have to keep trying, it'll work eventually. SysUpdater is unstable on the N3DS so it's random whether it will work or not. You can try that "ftbrony" (or whatever it is) thing to increase the chance of it being successful.
