Hi everybody,

I own the disc version of MK8 plus both DLC packs. I fired it up the other day and it came up with a 'preparing update' message. This obviously failed as I'm running the exploits via mobile hotspot.

I downloaded the latest MK8 update via NUSgrabber and installed it using wupinstaller. (Note that it said 'Install OK' straight away and stayed there). I left it for half an hour then rebooted.

In the data management section I see the MK8 update file. It has '???' and is 454MB in size. When I try to load MK8 again it does not find this update.

Is this a relevant update? Have I done something wrong?

Thanks in advance.
Wait what do you mean "it does not find this update"?

Hi,

As in, it ignored the update that was installed on the Wii U and tried to go online to get it.

But never mind!!!!! I reinstalled the update using a different wupinstaller (the one from the definitive package) and that did the trick!

All good now, thanks.

Here we go again. Every time I want to download something from the eShop I can't because that frickin' red X cock blocks me! How do I get rid of the red X in download management?!
The safe way to do it is to load eshop as normal with nnupatcher and when you have clicked on your purchased download or any download of eshop, leave eshop open for as long as you think it may take for your internet speeds to download the file, eventually it will download ok in the background, it wont notify you but don't go into download management box and have a look or exit to main menu cause it will go to the back of the que before the update so yes just leave eshop open for as long as it takes and when you next go to the main menu it will notify you of installing ok, that method and using Tubehax as dns blocker works every time for me with no issues! :)

Is it safe to unblock the Nintendo update domains when spoofed to 5.5.0 (well, untill the next update comes that is). Would like to grab some DLC off eshop.

Sorry for not searching. On a braille display atm.

NO, but it would seem as though the eShop has backup servers that allow you to access it even when blocking

Well that blows. How on earth am I going to get my Smash Bros downloaded. Sigh. Thanks for letting me know tho. Patience is a virtue.

Edit: In case someone is wondering, I had my NNID tied to my bro's console and now made a request to unlink it to Nintendo so was wondering how'd I get it to my console now that I modded it before re-linking. Silly me.

Just use NNU-Patcher. You should be able to download even without unblocking

Does SSB play well in braille?

As well as any games, so no. Look, I know you are trying to be a smartass, or you're thinking you got me from a lie or something, but I was visiting a friend of mine who is blind (I myself am visually impaired, but not blind) so I had to use what he had. Don't ask me why he doesn't have a monitor.

I was just trying to be mildly funny, also the mention of the braille display caught my attention just because it sounds interesting - no worries man B-)

...To get rid of this "blocked" system update message in the download queue, go to the download manager and pull the power cord....

This is just awesome. Reminds me of when the JAP SSBB disk got online and to install the update without getting japanese channels added back in the day.

"Just wait till it's about 30% done installing, then pull the power cord"

yeah, that was not a good idea back then.
here there's nothing currently downloaded or installing, it's just that the check to download the update is not done right away after power ON, so if you have a game or dlc in the download queue it will start because no more "red cross'd blocked update" in the queue.

It worked great for me back in the day!

Side note: for some reason I can't install the latest Sm4sh USA update. I let it sit for a good 4 hours this time.

Ticket is 0005000E10144F00 and version number is 192, right? It looked to be right based on downloading the version info from nintendo's servers.

Edit: I'm retarded. I extracted it using the common key and stuff. No duh it wouldn't install, the WiiU has the common key in it it would use itself. I'll try it again w/o extracting.

Another edit: The "new" wupinstaller works that tells you "install ok" when you're installing it. The error code I kept getting and thought it was the new version being janky was it actually telling me "you're retarded".

Edit3: Either the 'new' install is slow, or the update is just huge. 30 minutes wasn't enough time.

Hello, i'd like some help on updating the games.
I have used NUSGrabber GUI to get the updates for SSB and Splatoon (both i have on disk, EUR versions). Using the tutorial i have updated the SSB to the latest version and tried going online (having spoofed beforehand) which worked perfectly.
However, after i installed the update for Splatoon, it still says that it needs an update when i lauch the game from disc. Going into the data management, i see a Splatoon update measuring about 400Mb.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling it and also getting the update from a non-GUI NUSGrabber - all to the same result.
So i wanted to ask if i am doing anything wrong.
Just to recap, i use the Kexploit A, then launch the wud installer - it shows the home menu, then i launch it again, then quit to the home menu and wait (30 minutes just to be safe).
And also, the title database seems to be down, so i'd appreciate a titleID and the latest version for Splatoon EUR.
