-10E should be exploitable , its the 4.X browser (and I can launch gateway via it). just seems like the exploit chain for rxtools is missing.

Edit - Yup. I rolled back to 2.6 and it's exploit chain works , so I can update the browser and then swap back.
Glad you got it sorted, I just realised I missed the part about you having a Gateway.

Gateway added support for booting sysNAND a little while ago, so for future reference;

From their release notes:
– Added option to boot into SYSNAND mode directly even with EMUNAND on SD card
We received plenty of feedback regarding our previous firmware release and we heard you!

In our last release we realised there was no easy way to boot into SYSNAND mode, so we got you covered now!
From now on, while in the Gateway menu with the boot icons visible, simply hold B while booting into Gateway mode or Classic mode!
You will then be asked to confirm booting into SYSNAND mode by pressing X.

did you made sure you were in RX-E in system menu ? if it was RX-S, it meant it was sysnand.
anyway, i hope you have a nand backup and can make/have someone make you a nand mod.

You don't need a RPI, just a hard mod.

That's good to know, thanks. I thought I remembered something like that about Gateway but couldn't remember how to do it.

Ok then but i can do it without solder with tape and some wire? I just want enough just to flash back my firmware 7.1 nand.bin, not a permanent hard mod

Hmmm. I can't launch Emunand on the latest nightly from 9.2.0-10E (but with the 20E browser installed). Interesting. I can launch sysnand with patches and Gateway / 2.6 can launch the Emunand. Any ideas ? I'm on an o3DS.

I could launch Emunand on the latest nightly when I launched from 4.5 before I updated though. (I think? Maybe I'm misremembering, after the crazy with almost being unable to launch rxtools I might be off).

Sorry to hear it updated sysnand. Always not a good read to hear that. But maybe the devs might consider changing the sysnand back to stock to "Ver". And leave the RX to only Emunand?

But your comment on tape made my night and can sleep well now from stress at work.

http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Hardware

I was browsing that side above when looking into what a hardmod entails. But may I recommend that if you do not feel comfortable doing it to just pay someone like those recommended. I know it is extra costs but to me its well worth it. Especially after reading those who mess up and can't recover after since they messed up bad.

So is this for just blue screen brick and not updated unhackable 3ds? I don't want to mod a sd reader btw ill rather use a raspberry pi and i just want to restore my old 7.1 nand.bin thanks for your help. Or is it time to get a new nintendo 3ds and sell my old 3ds?

Excuse me but is the process for downgrading a 3ds the same as fixing a blue screen of death bricked 3ds? Are the tutorials for bsod fix working for purposes of downgrading console? Thanks
I also read you need to remove the cartridge slot to access the pinouts on an original model, is this true?
