"Verify that a cartridge know a private key" -> That would mean a completely new command. So what new command do they use?
That were suggestions. Someone still have to look in the code. You will not know the answer today, but in a few days, I think."Verify that a cartridge know a private key" -> That would mean a completely new command. So what new command do they use?
The fact that Sky suggested to use a CFW (which removes the sig checks) to play Fire Emblem If is more than enough proof.
If all that is being said is true, I think the Sky team would be better off breaking into Nintendo HQ and making off with an exploit.Last time Sky3DS said "We are working on it, hopefully we'll find a fix soon" ,blue button was released the following week...
Protocol implies software interface, and this is certainly not a new interface. It's likely just one or two commands for handling a challenge and response (I still haven't had the time to fully investigate yet, I don't think anyone has.)Protocol != Interface
Process9 can add a second layer of crypto, verify that a cartridge know a private key... So much possibilities.
There's no mention of that on their site. They haven't said anything yet as far as I can tell.
There is a reseller site that looks a lot like the sky site which you might be referring to but that isn't sky themselves.
I don't think that's the actual Sky team themselves. My bad, this was the article I was referring to BTW.
Honestly nobody should consider buying a 3rd gen sky3ds. Instead you should just buy a new preowned O3DS on 9.2 or below.
I don't think that's the actual Sky team themselves.
A comment from Smea on this discussion:

made my day...
He's always cryptic and can be taken ether way though I think Smea has an anti-piracy bent to him so I think he's laughing at those who have a Sky3DS.The way its written looks like he's laughing at the person he quoted aka those that think this will stop sky3ds. Would have been nice to get a follow up tweet that was a little more clear on what he's referring to.

Maybe they're busy counting their income while thinking what color they'll choose for their next cartrigefunny how sky responded within an hour or so of a new firmware being released saying their cart still worked, but now there hasnt been a peep out of them
