well it should be similar to how xenoblade runs on 9.0 in gateway mode as they use firmlaunch to load up the 9.5 native firm.....so in essence gateway mode is more like a 9.5+(whatever FW your on) hybrid....but i guess some things will run into issues without emunand or a higher base FW version
(but most stuff should work fine as native_firm is what deals with most stuff, the only issues would be like hitting amiibo settings, or other features that use external stuff to run that would be missing if your base FW isn't high enough to use said fetures)

I simply didn't want to rely on a cart. I always found cart exploiting to be strange. My lady has been encouraging me to delve deeper in to programming / RE, so I decided it would be a good investment. I will be able to use many more tools than I can currently.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
