So I bit the bullet and ordered an Australian N3DS for the upcoming 9.2 support. I've been hearing a ton of good things about the new version and I'm still using a launch 3DS, so I couldn't help but make the move to the newer handheld. Does anyone think the blue cart will ever be useful on this new version?

Hopefully the support will arrive before my new console does so it doesn't waste any time in that box.

not really. unless GW do something about it, the blue card doesn't even work with higher firmwares. and it probably won't be needed to run the new exploit either.

Not exactly, but they did say in this release all 9.X users would have all of the same "features" as 4.X users

Mid January sounds more reasonable by now (If at all).
If they intented to release it for Christmas it would've been out by now.

Your speculation could be as right or as wrong as anybody elses unless you really have a source, but you're not the first and not the last to claim this.

Gateway, if you don't mind waiting a while in order to have a better product. And only if you have a 3DS not in 9.3 or 9.4 firmware

depends what firmware the person receiving it is on if they are on 9.3/9.4 they can only really use sky3ds

Let's see... last year Gateway had a quick update on December 17th 2013 and then days later 2.02B was available on December 23rd 2013, they mentioned in the post on the 17th the update was a few days away. Then this year we had a firmware release update on December 18th 2014. Can we maybe guesstimate that their release will be on the 24th? I know it's stupid to use last year's dates, but I am grasping at straws now.

Anyway it's the 23rd in a couple hours here in China...
