I just recently thought about ripping Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies 3D models and converting them to MMD format (PMX or PMD) since it's hard to find any good quality AA MMD models, and I have the folder containing all the files, but they're all .cmd .app .tmd .db format or files without extensions. I can't open any of them in EFE (Every File Explorer) because they're all unsupported, and I haven't found any way to open them in a program other than my hex editor.
If anyone knows how to do this, it would help lots. Thanks!

You will have to RE Capcom's custom file system too.
After decryption, you get *.mod, *.mrl and *.tex files for models and textures.
Not talking about *.arc files (archives) and *.gmd (scripts).
Seems to be compression involved in tex and *.gmd files too.

Do you know of any programs that open .arc .mrl and .mod files? Or separate ones that can open at least one of those files?

There's some programs to open .arcs, I can't remember their names but they're definitely out there. Just look for those on Google or something.

I've tried a lot of them, but the ones used in AA: Dual Destinies are in a different format.

Then I think you are out of luck until you or someone else writes a tool to do it. I think those tools could only open one specific format of ARC.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. But I still decided to take a stab at opening the ARC files with some of the programs I already have.
(even though I knew it wouldnt work)

If you can send me some of the arc files (PM), I'll take a look. I've recently rewritten an older arc extractor to work with arc files of a other capcom 3DS game, so if the Ace Attorney variation of the format is not too different, it shouldn't be much trouble to update the tool for this.

Oh, thanks! I'll send... five? Is that okay? Do you want more or less, maybe?

That center allignment makes reading your messages really annoying.

Have you tried the japanese ROM Image yet?

sorry
I can't seem to find a torrent for it or anything, really. But I did find a BigBlueBox EUR dump. I also can get a copy of the iOS version, if need be.

Would you happen to still have that extractor? SSFIV has some arc files that no other extractor can work with.
