My theory is that an exploit has been in the works for a minute (well duh). The public push of the exploit though, had to be carefully meditated. This is how I have it processed in my mind.
1. exploit (maybe similar to ssspwn, maybe ssspwn. smealum said a week, fishy coincidence if you ask me. yeah I know "homebrew only" and I'm no programmer, but I figure if you have an exploit you can make it run retail things.)
2. dev work with cart makers ie. unknown company sky3ds, r5(sounds like a r4 upgrade on paper, good marketing) then gw [all probably the same company]
3. release it all within a few weeks first with 10 rom limit, then r5 18(?) rom limit, and gw fw update allowing fw 9.2 natively
4. ????
5. max profit (sell sky3ds max 120usd, card with limitations first get a bunch of scrubs, no offense, with extra spending money to purchase for n3ds 2ds, same with r5, and then release a fw update for a card thats been out, gw)
I saw someone reply saying something similar earlier in another thread so I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a cute little monopoly on the market that we all are unaware of cause of the "many" options we're given. I don't know how feasible this is but it sounds like the best way to make money off an exploit.
