Only by switching the launcher and using the gateway one, then use classic modeIs there a way I can play my pokemon x game with my 4.5 3DS and a r4i 3DS gold ?
I know I can't play the rom, I have the cartridge

Quick question about sysNAND. I've been using my Gateway for about a month or so on a 4.4 3DS with no problems so far, but I've seen a few threads suggesting that 4.5 is optimal. Would it be worth updating, and if so what benefits are there? I have a retail Fire Emblem: Awakening (E) which I believe has 4.5 on it so I guess it would be easy, just thought I'd get some opinions first. (Also if I were to do this, would I need to go through the process of installing Gateway with the blue card again?)
Cheers.
Thanks for replying! I think there was an issue with the microSD itself. I tried another and multirom is working now! Wohoo!well... sure it could be, it is hard to tell with these things.
i would personally format it again, copy one rom, see if it works. try a different rom?
and then sure, maybe your microsd card does have some problems... see if you have another micro sd.
if your roms are less than 4GB, you can format the microsd as fat32 (but this cannot hold files bigger than 4GB) - maybe that might help (but i don't think so... )
if you are desperate, you can use the gateway image writer to write one rom to the sd card, it will still work with the newer flash card update (but of course, only one rom)
when i got my gateway i made sure to buy a 'good' micro sd card, some are cheap, copies, maybe slow.. etc

no benefits, no extra functions etc. sure you can update to 4.5, but you don't need to.
you probably would have to install the profile exploit again so if that is a problem, don't do it. but, there is no reason to do it anyway, unless you just want to be like everyone else on 4.5
Alrighty, well since there are no benefits and it's working fine I'll just leave it as it is for now. Thankyou for your response.
Since the Pokemon games use Nand saving, will I run into any issues not having EmuNAND?... Or if I decide to get EmuNAND later on once 8 is available, will that effect any saves?
The whole "NAND saving" name is a bit confusing for some.....the game isn't saved to the system NAND the difference between card1 and card2(NAND-save) games is simply that card 1 have a rom chip and a save chip inside the card, card2 has only 1 chip which performs both functions, so the save is wrote to the same chip that the rom is stored onSince the Pokemon games use Nand saving, will I run into any issues not having EmuNAND?... Way off the mark, if your friends 3ds is updated how do you plan to use the R4 card on it, basically the R4 team being masters of mis-information showed Pokemon running knowing it would mislead people into thinking Pokemon works properly....truth is you can get it to load but you will not be able to save ever....so if you plan to just play Pokemon all the way through and never turn off the 3ds....go for it, but one crash or one flat battery and it's back to the startHey guys. I got a question about Pokemon X/Y (Im sure youve had ton of them allready)
So the lates R4i release lets me convert a Card2 to Card1, and when i run Pokemon Y it says its trying to create a data and then it proceeds to crash. But on the video demonstration for MultiRom the guy got Pokemon X to run. So i was wondering, if i were to borrow my friend`s upgraded 3ds, insert the SD-Card that holds launcher.dat for my 4.5 3ds, Run pokemon X and create a save data, and then put the sd-card back on the 4.5 3ds. Would pokemon X work on my 4.5 3ds? Or is the 3ds like ps3 where the save data has an id for the spesific console its saved on? Thanks

To go about getting it to load you need to keep it as a card2 game inject a save created with a gateway or MT card, there is some in the Pokemon distribution thread with all the info and tools to inject the save
