Confirmed working links below, i will add additional save files as they become available (please note this is only for use with Gateway/MT cards!)

Before asking questions, read the FAQ below. Odds are, it will answer all of your questions.

the saves will work for any region or even your own dump, if you have any issues revert back to the contrast releases, you can transfer the pokemon to your retail cart if you want

*PLEASE READ! ALWAYS TRANSFER THE MEGA POKEMON BACK TO THE PC BEFORE EXITING THE GAME OR THEY WILL REVERT BACK INTO THEIR STANDARD EVOLUTION

Standard Pre-emtive warning.
This save is using a public header, its unknown if nintendo will ever issue bans based on these headers,
please be aware of this before choosing to use this save to play online.

step 1: open Gateway Rom patcher, open your rom,select import then choose the "header to import.bin" file included
step 2: open cart2sav, select your rom, then select "Load .SAV" and choose the save you want from the .sav files included
Step 3: rename the rom to ***.3dz and copy onto your card

step 1: open cart2sav, select your rom, then select "Load .SAV" and choose either the "MGS1980 Y.sav" or "MGS1980 X.sav" included depending on which game your using

make sure your using a .3ds rom and thats it

gtaking112 for the initial save

FAQ's

Do i need powersaves to do this?
No, this is all done using the gateway card and SD cards

Cant i use the save on my retail card/ eshop version?
No, this method required the use of a gateway card, the save will not work via any other methods.

How do i get the pokemon on to my retail cart then?
You will need access to 2 different 3DS's one using a flash card, and one that you can run your retail game on, it should work fine even trading to a 7.1 console and eshop versions of the game

Can i inject .Pkx files by doing this?
Nope, only pokemon that are already on someones 3DS.

This pokemon is missing can you add it? / I want this.... add it now!!!
You can make a request in the Thread, but please be polite if you start demanding....i don't think anyone would want to help you.....also keep it reasonable, the process is not fast or easy, don't just reel off a list of really specific things that you can obtain yourself in game, also please don't request people to make a save set up exactly how you want it.....i.e i have brown hair make a save for brown hair with the name john....this is impracticable, the purpose of this save is to be generic so anyone can use it

Why doesn't the main community X save have all of the megastones?
Only the unreleased mega stones as well as the Y version exclusive megastones are included in the latest update file. You can play the game and get the rest.

Why isn't X, Y, or Z pokemon included in the new X update?
Priority was given on making sure that people could successfully complete a National Pokedex with this file even if they are unable to trade with anybody. All of the other pokemon needed can be either evolved or bred to get what you need. If any Pokemon of a particular evolutionary line has been left out, send a message to MGS1980.

If anyone has a gateway card and a copy of Pokemon with the removed hidden Pokemon, I don't suppose you could trade them to a gateway save, then extract the save and upload it to here....then everyone who has access to a gateway card can forward it on to others......idk I don't really care but would save all the whining about the removed Pokemon I suppose

I've been told that the ROM itself (for CARD2) handles the saves itself. Meaning it's not in a save format. I may be wrong tho.

Yeah there is a script to extract the save, then insert it back into the rom.

The hidden Pokemon can only be traded locally, but if someone can trade them to a rom the save can then be extracted and redistributed...at which point it would be fairly easy to transfer back to a legit cart

you can extract the save from the rom file. i have extracted pokemon files from my retail cart save, using the save i got from the rom that i dumped with my gateway card.
i used the keysav program to 'break' box 1 and 2 etc.

it would mean that everyone could trade them locally to themselves, as long as they have two consoles right. but, i personally don't want unreleased pokemon (as long as they will be released some day)

And the person ends up with a savegame he/she has no control of their character name/starter Pokemon. All for unreleased data.

yeah, it's not really much work at all, just, it's not necessary really.
it was much more of an effort to extract pokemon from your retail save, you need to dump the game twice to set it up, it took about 20 minutes each time.

Or, if someone has the game installed on emunand, they just need to backup the entire SD card after trading the pokemon to it. Then they can repeatedly trade it out, and restore the sd card. Because you are restoring the 3ds emuNAND AND the save file with every restore, there should be no problems.

The only thing they will not have control at all are Diancie and AZ Floette.

yeah but the main thing i was thinking from this is it would finally put the "i want Diancie and AZ Floette" posts in the powersaves thread to bed XD, as right now there is no possible ways except a local trade with someone who obtained them whilst the codes where available
