Well it looks like they weren't bullshitting users about a V4.0b2, although the video clearly shows they copied Gateway's Multirom menu (which is odd since 4.b1 was a copy of Mt-card) so nothing noteworthy i guess in terms of innovation. Still...people of 3DS link and r4i rejoice (kinda).

What's more interesting in my opinion is that the video never shows the face of the card so it could (and most likely is) a revision because of earlier reports of r4i not being able to update their FPGA.
Edit: Nevermind, checked some of their other videos and they do that often.

In other news, the video is upside down which shows just how ass backwards they are :).

Just be patient to see what will happen.
They just declared v4.0b2 will be released within two weeks.
If this version can support all cards released by them, it's very good news for r4i deluxe users.

Anyway, the r4i team did as they promised for the last update, and not like the evo3ds no news and no updates. Hopefully the higher version 6.x , 7.x can be used on.

They usually don't show the face so they can put the same video on all their clones sites

If you pause it at 6 seconds, you get a close up on the card. The PCB on it is green. Last time i checked, the r4i deluxe edition PCB is blue

theres a few reviews with pictures and the pcb is indeed blue while the video has a green pcb
so this seems like a new revision
they will probably announce to users to please buy the new and enhanced 2014 version

They have never declared this kind of news on the offical web.
Instead, they just declare that v4.0b2 will be released within two weeks.:)

exactly, why declare anything until its complete. In 2 weeks when they are done, it is very possible for them to announce a revision.

I just hope them copying Gateway's multirom feature like that won't make Gateway fight back with more brick code...

Best not to jump to conclusions. There could be other reasons for a different colour PCB:
  • It could just be a prototype card they've had since before the card was officially released.
  • They might have switched suppliers, or the supplier might have changed the colour they use.
  • Maybe the supplier simply ran out of blue the day that card was made.

Never forget the brick code. GW spent a long time refining their brick code.

Remember the latest bversion is based on mt card , maybe they managed to just steal the multi rom portion

Anyways I don't think they are going to release anything with brick code again. If they just stole gateway code , 2 weeks is plenty enough of time for them to detect any brick code if they haven't stolen only multi rom

Remember their "new" multirom demo is nothing like MT-card but exactly like GW? So yes. Brickcode is likely.
