Looks like a lot of (mostly mindless) fun, no surprise for a Dynasty Warriors game.

Kind of disappointed that they didn't use the color-coded (green/blue/red) knights from A Link to the Past as the allied forces (would actually be very useful for recognizing the strength of allies mid-battle, also it'd be just cooler than these generic soldiers).

I don't know if that's just me, or the off-screen recording, but that "Hey, listen!" audio sample sounds weird as hell. Hope they change it for the final product.

Lol. There's no chance of that being the price.

Yeah, it's going to be a Nintendo-branded game so obviously it won't but that'd be the ideal for this cloned game.

They are cloning their own game?

I think better words to use would be derivative, rehash, or uninspired.

Whatever the term he'll pick, it's ultimately going to round up the same thing.

The Lego team does exactly the same as DW: Take what's done, reskin, add that series content with a few gameplay changes and then it's done. This is also why I've given up on Lego games, but decided to pick up LCU in hope that it'd be a bit different and it somewhat differs from the rest (GTA: Lego Edition).

You're giving Dynasty Warriors the coolest-possible of skins, but the game still looks like Dynasty Warriors.
If CD-I Zeldas are a 1, Crossbow Training a 5, and Wind Waker a 10, then I see this game as a 6.5.

I'll confess, if we get a playable copy of this game at work and I somehow become addicted to it (which is why I later on purchased MK8) then I'll just contradict myself and buy it despite how much I loathe the DW for being a copy and paste work.

>Giving Wind Waker a 10

It's like you're not even trying.

And yeah, Dynasty Warriors is shlock, but it's the most fun shlock possible. The games are also disgustingly full of content. Right now The Complete Collection of D8 XL has like 5 or 6 unique campaigns, 89 characters all with different move sets and weapons, plus Challenge Mode and Ambition Mode.

It's a constant rehash but you can't help but feel that Omega Force still cares about the franchise.
