Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, taking place between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, had a new trailer released for it today. Filled with moon dancing and some game play, you can get a first look at the game by watching the trailer below:

The game is slated to release October 14th, 2014. They also released some details on a pre-order bonus called the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit. There are no details on the pack yet except for this image containing a short description:

This game will release for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

That trailer was so stupid.

Face lasers xD
Dance Kittens xD
Techno or dubstep or whatever xD
xD XD XDDDD

I wish they'd stop the memes and youtube shit they try to shoehorn in the game. I have fun playing the series (its one of my favorites for co-op) but it's annoying when it feels like i'm being forced to listen to a 12 year old's first youtube upload.

I get that this is being done not by Gearbox but is being handed out to 2k Australia (which, remember when these overseas offices were for localizing and publishing games, and not actually making them?).

But goddamn: every "next-gen" title from Sony and Xbone feel like a checklist of what should sell according to last gen. WiiU is the only console so far that actually feels like it's making "new" games compared to its old lineup, in playability or graphical style.

Of course nothing beats frontier gen glorious pc master race.

Needs more spehs mahreens and arbitrary choices amirite?

Nah it just needs writers who aren't shit and fun gameplay.

I enjoyed Borderlands, but Borderlands 2 was just difficult to play. Not in difficulty, but it wore my patience thin with it's "EPIC MAYMAYS" and even the gameplay was boring. In the first Borderlands it felt like everyone had a very specific roll, roughly fit into your standard fantasy archetypes (tank, support, rogue, mage). Here it just felt like everyone was the same except they had one ability that would sometimes be used. The story was boring, the huge variety of guns meant 99% of the guns you got were awful until you get one amazing gun and then every other gun you get is useless, and as I said, the writing was lazy and grating.

But since everyone liked Borderlands 2 it's going to be a continual cycle of this. Now the franchise is just "SOOOO KOOOOOOKY" and basically every character is comic relief, and poor comic relief at that.

But this is for PS3 and the 360, so your point is...?

New Mario Kart? Check.
