Hardware Zelda 3DS XL coming out friday! Any idea what firmware?

Hey everyone!
I put in an order for the gold Zelda 3DS XL bundle that is coming out on friday. Has anyone gotten their hands on one, or seen one? What firmware are they being released with??

I had a look at the zelda 3ds today at my local Game store, I gotta say its a really nice piece of kit. The firmware that was loaded on to this one was 6.3.0-12E, So I reckon they may all come with the same firmware.

No probs mate, I am using the supercard DSTwo and that works perfect on the 6.3.0-12E firmware.

I just got mine today at walmart, was going to get it a gamestop but walmart is selling it for $200 here in canada(just moved last week) and gamestop is selling it for $220. well anyways mine came with 6.2.0-12U.
got zelda OOT and luigi's mansion 2. altogether i paid $313 i think

Somebody know if the game ask for some update, I mean if I have the firmware 4.5 on my 3DS the game could works perfectly without update it to 6.x firmware?

If you are on 4.5 the game will ask you for an update. If not 5.x, it might be 6.x. Either way, I would not play it on that 3DS right now just to be safe.

I picked up my Zelda 3DS XL today. I'm pretty sure it was on something 6.x, I can't remember because I updated right away, just so I can redeem the code for Link Between Worlds.

Although due to my metered internet connection almost reaching the cut-off point, I have to wait until the 25th of November, when it resets before I can redeem the code.

I completely forgot about that you can switch boards easily /facepalm
If I were you, I would stay on 4.3 and not upgrade to 4.4 or 4.5 as most of the DS flash carts that were blocked permanently from the 4.4 update still work.
the AceKard 2i is one of those carts.

You got an American 3DS, I got a European one. That might explain it!

With the XL, it's easier than you might think to swap boards. all you need is to treat it with some TLC and be gentle with the ribbon cables.

I am unaware. I've only swapped, pulled, and sold 20+ 3ds xl motherboards -_-

6.1 here, but game forces 6.2 update anyway, and then system will prompt for 6.3 update lol
