Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

No, just no. That's not how it works at all. I'm a semi-expert in Pokemon (especially the GBA games), and the only reason that would help is if GBAemu4DS is messing the save file up itself, in which case there's an equal chance of it corrupting the save again.
It works completely fine for me.

How would you recommend getting the saves to work?

And for the record, pressing Y twice doesn't seem to bring up the save menu (after saving in game, of course). I have to press A+B+Up to get the menu. Using the latest version of Gbaemu4DS.
Pressing Y bypasses the menu to save. It wasn't supposed to make the menu appear, it was designed to avoid it.
It works completely fine for me.

That's because the first save worked fine. Every time a 3rd Gen game saves, it uses the older save slot (256kb of 512kb) to store the new data, but starting at a different offset. Then the other 256kb is used for a backup. Pressing Y twice doesn't do that, it takes the same 256+256kb and writes it to the mSD again.

Thanks for replying ichichfly! I have A small request (I hope), when you in the program after you select a gba rom there is a menu before playing the game(with bios patch and gbafile) is there a way to make it so when you push the B button it go back to the gba list of games?

I will add that but after the emulator has started there is no easy way to get back to the UI as I unload the UI

when you get to the last option screen(the one with the oldirq or newirq and others) choosing any causes it to freeze right there.

Do you have the ichflyr4igoldgbaemu folder in there? That folder contains the emulators themselves. If you don't have the folder, when you select an option you'll get a Guru error.

I don't think you can change settings from Wood.

On the regression subject, I noticed that going from Alpha1 Fix1 to Alpha2 Fix4 was more like a downgrade: The IRQ menu is now in a confusing order, and Pokemon Ruby (E) no longer boots with advirq or with sound.

edit the internal_list.list with the defaultlisteditor

load the patch.pat as patch and than load the gba game that should fix the problem in Pokemon
the new order was a feature request

@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
