Hi ya'll.
I have a Sony KDL32BX320 32" LCD TV and when using the Wii U with HDMI at 1080p, the sound with cut out roughly every 45 seconds for a duration of roughly 1 second.
Lowering the resolution to 720p causes the issue to become less frequent.
Further lowering the resolution to 480p solves the issue. However, as you can imagine, I would enjoy playing at 1080p for a brand new console. Is this issue likely to be caused by the Wii U, or the TV? The television is quite cheap, yet was advertised to support 1080p.
Also note, this issue does not appear when the Wii U is used on a larger, more expensive Panasonic.
Thanks in advance!
