It got confirmed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power! I can't wait to see how will this turn out to be! It is very interesting idea, I mean there is a lot of possibilities for it on the 3DS that can make it EPIC! XD

EDIT: Oh and there is an 8 mins gameplay footage too but it's for the console one (The power of two)

FYI,the game is being made by DreamRift, the company behind Henry Hatsworth and Monster Tale, and it's their first 3DS project.

The first one was pretty fun.

I'm not as enthusiastic about this one though. I don't see it working well without the pointer controls. So it's either the Wii, and if it's going multiplat then it'll most likely get a pretty lousy port job, or the PS3, which I don't own and certainly don't feel like paying through the roof for.

The 3DS version does give a me a tinge of "needs to be on every console" sort of thing but I can't say for sure. Sometimes some "handheld spin offs" are actually pretty fun, even better than the original games. At least the stylus will make the painting aspect, you know, paint.

Well, if it's "on any console", might as well just port the console version over to the 3DS.

I'm more so referring to all those Call of Duty DS games and stuff like that.

That's actually pretty promising, both those games were excellent. Let's hope it's a 2D sidescroller since they really rock that whole genre.

I believe that touch screen is much better than pointer...

That's the thing, it's about personal preference. Touch screen works wonders on a lot of games, but not so well on others. Just like the Wii pointer.

Still wondering if I should buy the first Epic Mickey, but will probably pick it up if I happen to find it on sale somewhere :3

I was hoping WayForward would be behind it but I am very pleased that DreamRift are developing it. Those guys have become the new Griptonite for me what with those guys going really mediocre with poor licensed games.

I really enjoyed Henry Hatsworth & Monster Tale so excited to play the 3DS game. Only problem those games had was that the none platforming bits didn't gel as well, kinda detracted from the core gameplay so hopefully this will be more of a pure platformer.

The Wii isn't getting the lousy port, it will actually be the main platform for this game according to the developers Junction Point.
They have a secondary company called Blitz making the ps3/360 version.

Shit, then I guess it's a lousy Xbox 360 port at least. No motion controller equivalent (Kinect isn't a substitute) + ported to more advanced hardware = equivalent of a HD remastering with bad controls.

Well at least I can still pirate Wii games.

The only way I would play a video game with Mickey in it, is if Kingdom Hearts 3 was coming out. Or he was in Smash Bros.
