LAS VEGAS--AT&T customers will soon be able to get their game on with the PlayStation Vita, as the carrier announced pricing and availability date today.
Shipping on February 22, the 3G/Wi-Fi model of the Vita will cost $299, with the choice of two data plans. There is a $14.99 plan that offers 250MB data, and a $25 plan that gives you 2GB of data. Both plans will be month-to-month and will not require a long-term contract. A free game download is included with the purchase of the Vita and a data plan.
The gaming handheld will launch with a number of social networking apps. This includes a location-based app called Near that will show what other Vita owners are playing nearby and what titles are most popular in that area. With Near, you'll also be gift game-related features to other users. Meanwhile, LiveArea is an interactive interface that gives you access to the PlayStation Network, so you can get the latest information on games.
The Vita features a 5-inch OLED capacitive touch screen, a rear touch panel, an ARM Cortex-A9 core (quad-core) CPU and a SGX543MP4+ GPU.[/left]
I just think the pricing for Vita is over priced and wonder how long it will be and how much Sony will have to loose again before they wake up and see the light and drop the price, seriously, wake up Sony!
