No, but seriously. I think it's a bit too early to say for sure what is going to happen to the 3DS. A lawsuit from Nintendo? Maybe... but unlikely.

We got DS-mode code running on the 3DS (DSi-mode to some extent with the iEvo)
We got PSP-mode code running on the PS Vita.

Which one do you think has the greater potential to be made into something else?

We got DS-mode code running on the 3DS (DSi-mode to some extent with the iEvo)
We got PSP-mode code running on the PS Vita.

If anything, the 3DS is "more" hacked since we can run retail DS roms, while we haven't heard anything about running retail PSP iso (Unless I'm wrong.)

Honestly, both.

Well.. Yea. However, I think we've seen the greatest potential of DS mode.. Where as the PSP mode has just begun. I'm NOT saying that I believe we will see a full blown Vita hack because of what has just recently happened... but there may be more that can be done. You know? Just wishful thinking, I guess.

With the 3DS and flashcarts though, there was nothing to really "hack". It's just modified bootstraps on the carts to bypass some DRM.

I really hope 3DS doesn't get hacked, just so we can REALLY see how piracy affects sales.

To do that, we'd have to compare a timeline where the 3DS was hacked and a timeline where the 3DS wasn't.
Yes, we can compare it to other systems, but those other systems don't have the same features, which (I think) would change what kind of people and how many are interested in the hardware.
