All 300 star coins and all levels completed. All you get for that is a pic of the toads + peach all wearing the tanooki suit

Selling it for sure now before it goes down in value.

I finished with 295, what's the other 5 I'm missing? On your save select how many stars do you have on your save? I have 4

My copy arrived two hours ago. Played through world 1 and so far it's great! Classic gameplay style in a 3D environment with exploration besides the main route.

With all the talk about the levels being short I was quite surprised that they aren't short for a Mario platformer. Just replay a level from SMB 3 and you'll see. You can run through a level in 30 sec. in SMB 1 or 3. It seems like people are desperatly searching for something to complain about these days. Just enjoy the game and don't over-analyze it...

Absolutely true!

I'm at world 5-2. damn this is probably the only Mario game that I may ever complete cuz I've never actually completed other versions. It's just so beautiful, levels are smartly designed.

I am at S2 - Ship level and I got PWNED like almost 15 times at 8 - Bowser Castle level after 8 - 6.

I really suck in this game :P

Personally:

I feel that the game isn't too short. It is just alright. (perhaps because I suck in it)

The trailers do have a stronger 3D, but I like the actual more. It is not as pixelated and not as fuzzy as the trailer.

? i dont get how its not as pixelated or fuzzy. it looks just the same but with the camera zoomed in more or zoomed out more. plus you are comparing it to a trailer that is a compressed video and not the actual game so its not even a fair comparison.
Aren't you comparing it to a trailer yourself?

And... this. Isn't Mario fuzzy and pixelated?
uhh comparing the 3d effect is different isn't it? i was talking about the strength of it. you're talking about how it it looked and that's not fair since there's compression issues. the compression isn't affecting the quality of the 3d. you keep pointing out how it's fuzzy and yet that could be because of the compression. and mario is still pixelated no matter what because the 3ds resolution is low.
Okay my bad.

And as for the bold part, the real thing isn't really pixelated and the actual 3DS resolution isn't THAT low either.

I got the game last night at Gamestop and the manager gave me the keychain even though I didn't preorder it. It's fairly good quality too. I expected it to be light and cheap but it's got some weight to it and the Mario figure on the front isn't paint or a sticker, it's acrylic.

Edit: I'm having a blast with this game, but damn it's almost too easy. I'm at world 4 now after about 2 hours play time, and I have 42 lives. I could have had MUCH more because I found an exploit early on (forgot which level) that you can get to the checkpoint in the level, snag a 1 up mushroom, grab a Star, and get about 4 1-ups with that if you're fast enough, jump off of a platform to your doom, rinse and repeat. I didn't use it this run, but I probably will my next time around just to have 99 lives at all times.

it is low! i dont know what you mean by " isn't that low" since i just stated it's low. does that mean you think its low too? its lower than the original psp's resolution. i can see pixelation still but its not a problem in the actual game. it still looks nice. it's just for the sake of the discussion i'm stating this, for a game like love plus or beyond the labyrinth--when the characters are more blown up, you see how low the 3ds resolution is.

just look at this

still a pretty game but the low res makes it look worse. and if watching this video is not good proof, you can view the actual screenshots through the 3ds in 3d and the jaggies are eww.

Gonna admit this. Since Sunday, I played almost 10 hours (based on the Activity Log), have played through all the levels, both normal and special, and got each and every star coin using Mario. Currently working on doing a quick run-through with Luigi.

While the normal levels are pretty easy until towards then end, many of special levels can kick your butt.
