I am quite new to u/sneek + di and neek2o.
Question: how to use these files? Where should they be in?
download the files here http://code.google.c.../downloads/list and use the SNEEKInstaller (http://code.google.c...ed.rar&can=2&q=)
Thanks man. Got help from XFlak and it worked.
My problem was I got a boot.elf in SD root directory. I have no idea what it is. Guess it created trouble for me.

@obcd
- It's prepared for an usb only setup. In the near future, you wan't need a sd card anymore to use it.

Wow, this ought to be must-have feature. Go, you the man.

diconfig.bin:

go into overlay menu pressing 1. Next press + Set AutoUpdateGames to On and do a save config.
Every time a game is added or deleted, the diconfig.bin will be updated to the latest situation. This can slowdown things a little if you have a huge (like100+) number of games.
If you stop messing around with them, you can turn it off again.

nandcfg.bin. You could use wiixplorer on your real nand to delete the file. If your selected nand isn't working, the same situation will appear again.

Nice! Finally a public release! :D

I've been writing on a non-technical guide in my spare time, but with all the name changes, it'll take some revisioning before making it public. :)

the dol is a homebrew application that launches neek2o.
If you use this one, you can place the original bootmii armboot.bin and files back in the bootmii folder.
The neek armboot.bin is no longer needed in there.

So it should go in your apps/bootneek2o folder (this is just an example.)
You might add an xml and an icon file as well in the same location.

some people reported problems with a huge number of VC / Wiiware installed on the emulated nand.
Be aware that one bad banner annimation of a channel is enough to brick the system menu.
So dumping 100 channels on it with showmiiwads is a bad idea. It's not a normal wii working procedure.
On real nand, some channel problems don't cause a brick due to the protections preventing the channel to run if checks fail.
Such a problematic channel could cause a brick for your emulated nand system menu.

There might be a fix to solve such problems by removing the problematic channel again afterwards, but it's not on my short term planning list.
I have a version of wadmanager_gui that works perfectly on neek with emulated nand. It's not the fastest way to install things on it, but it does it's thing.
There is a 48 channel limit in the system menu. There is a way to hide channels for the system menu so that others show up. The more channels you have,
the slower the system menu becomes, unless you set them hidden for it.

Considering the gamesave: Have you tried to play the game in neek first, until it creates a gamesave?
After that, you can try to overwrite that save with the one from your real nand. This gives the biggest probability for things to work.
The latest usbloader_gx has an option to transfer saves from real to emulated nand as well. I have never tested it myself, but maybe you could give it a try?

Ok,

I setup neek2o using ModMii and all the files appear to be correct that need to copied to the SD and USB HDD.

neek2o only seems to be boot from a hard-reset of the Wii (ie pulling the power cable out and then pressing the power button on the console rather than the wiimote). After a few seconds I see a screen with "Press A to continue" but neither of my, previously, sync'ed wiimotes work. Also, when I reboot the Wii - without the SD card in - the wiimotes need to be re-synced.

Any ideas on what I am missing or doing wrong ?

the wii remote data is in settings.txt, if you are using a fresh nand dump, meaning like from factory default or a donor nand, you will have to resync your wii remotes. if you are using a nand dump that previously had that wii remote synced, it should work fine.

i may need to use this. it sounds really awesome, the main drawback i had is that i could not use a folder to run the emulated nand. thanks for the work.

Ah, ok. I let ModMii create the NAND so that could be it

Ok - resync'ing fixed that first problem.

My next issue is that (a) Joyflow just sits on it's splash screen and the Wii appears to hang and (b) pressing 1 at the System menu says there are no games installed ? All my games are either in USB:\wbfs or individual subfolders inside USB:\wbfs

I may try to convert one of the games to the old uneek format and see if that fixes it

(a) The old version of JoYflow will not work with neek2o.
(b) Delete diconfig.bin manually or rebuilt the cache using the option in the overlay menu

Ha ha - that solves that problem then.

Just don't understand now why neek2o isn't seeing the contents of the wbfs folder ? Well, that and working why it's tempramental as to whether neek2o kicks in at all (sometimes it does and sometimes it just freezes on a black screen - possibly hanging as the TV doesn't appear to be receiving a signal when it doesn't work)

(b) Delete diconfig.bin manually or rebuilt the cache using the option in the overlay menu

I tried that but the Wii just emiitted a long beep and then crashed.

I recommend everyone to use their NEEKO2 on USB rather than SD card. The compatibility of games in SD card are worst, 80% of my games wont even load, only some of them.

It doesn't crash.. Just wait and don't touch it

Thanks for the help OverJoy - it all seems to work now and, finally, my son can play Tintin :D And I can't remember the last time I started a game via the Disc Channel ;)

When I press 1 on the system menu there seems to be loads of duplicates in the game list (almost every title is duplicated) not sure if that is normal.

Pretty sure there aren't any but I will check later (once I've managed to stop my boy off playing Tintin)

Would it be listing the folder name and the game inside the folder perhaps ?
