Mario Kart 7 - New Drivers

I'm sure you're aware of some of the new characters to be included in Mario Kart 7. The following pic shows all of them and it's behind a spoiler tag so it's entirely up to you to decide whether to reveal them or not.
What I will say though is no one predicted the two newest characters who are revealed in the pic...

Honey Queen, and Wiggler?
Seriously? Wiggler is a goddamn obstacle in maple treeway, one of the returning tracks.

Also are we sure Metal Mario is a dedicated character, not just Mario with an item box?

There are no items that turn characters into metal. Plus Konno himself refers to Metal Mario as a new character...

Love the fact mii's are there because now all those people that have made darth vader and sonic version of mii's will be able to use them in mario kart! Finally you could use sonic in a mario kart game!

Honey Queen will be in super mario 3D land.... It is highly possible it will be that way.

Also, Wiggler.... I agree and obstacle hit by a smaller sort ._.

all that's missing here? give Mario Kart racers their very own Special Attack. seriously, it would be awesome. battle mode will be a bloody mess with special attacks. speaking of battle mode, i know VS online or local supports 8 players, but how about 8-way free-for-all battle mode? huh? HUH? three balloons ain't gonna be enough when you've got 7 other people gunning for you.

Thats bad enough but what if they kept the DS version of "inflating" your balloons before you battle. Sitting there with 1 balloon desperately blowing into the microphone with 7 other people heading towards you XD

Why Metal Mario. He's not a character. It's like having 8 Marios. One in normal, one with fire flower, one with the tanooki suit, one with the frog suit, one with the bee suit. Yes, I know Metal Mario is a boss in some of the sports games, but he has no distinct personality other then being introduced originally as a suit power up for Mario.

EDIT: Wait, wait, wait, wait. If you're racing as Lakitu, who starts the race for you? Do you have to start the race then run to your car? LOL.

This really makes me think what characters they're going to add next to the MarioKart after this one

Perhaps just include a few characters from the Wario franchise, while they're at it!

Gliders and underwater propellers + the re addition of coins which has been obsolete since GCN DS and Wii.

Wiggler was a playable character in Mario Power Tennis and Mario Super Slaggers.

I am going to buy a 3ds just for this and the super mario land game.Metal Mario really has no reason to be in here lol.Shadow mario would've made a bit more sense .
