First Image of Phoenix Wright, the Handsome Japanese Movie Star

Japan is making an Ace Attorney movie. Takashi Miike is directing, and actor Hiroki Narimiya is starring as Phoenix Wright. This is what he looks like as Phoenix Wright.
The movie was filmed near Kyoto and is slated for an early 2012 release in Japan. This isn't the first adaptation of Phoenix Wright. The all-female Takarazuka Revue did musical versions of the popular lawyer games.

Itchy the Killer and Audition, curious about this one as i love the CAPCOM franchise to bits!

God that looks terribly. I don't even like Phoenix Wright but c'mon, if you're doing a movie for him, go the path of Layton and make it styled exactly like the games. So animation, not live action.

Alright, better now. The tone of the games isn't too serious, so this isn't necessarily bad, but... Well, video game movie adaptations have a history of being terrible. I'm not so sure that Pheonix Wright can break the trend.
