I have several screens and they all do the same, knowing that it is not the flex or the screen, would it be the connector then? can that be changed?
Very well might have some damaged/shorted pins on the connector on the motherboard. Try inspecting that connector closely with a microscope and possibly a multimeter to see if any of the pins are shorted to one another.

If you search you will see that there are at least 3-4 different posts here where the pin inside the connector was damaged. Very difficult to spot, i guess thats why they call them nightmare connectors

To you and all the other people who expect instantaneous updates on a guide which was made for free, on my time that I spend after work, for an update that is still LARGELY BEING TESTED, I find it ridiculous that you're incapable of reading the exact updated info that I am going to paste into my guide, FROM THE DEV'S POST HIMSELF where you should be downloading the latest Alpha firmwares ANYWAY.

I digress, I was in the process of updating the guide, but I think I'm going to spend some time smoking a couple bowls and evaluating how much I actually enjoy helping entitled folks who can't help themselves.

Note: this post is not meant for all the appreciative people who have used my guide to LEARN how to do this process, instead of just expecting everything to be handed to them on a platter. To you, ROCK ON, and keep doing magnificent mods.
first I didn't even use your guide when you did it I had already done several picofly you can see that I don't post information errors or problems my welds and installations are perfect
I say this because there are several who say that lightninjay has not updated give me yours there help me that made me do mine

ER=355750]@LogicalMadness[/USER] See?! OLED EASY!! You should be modding them in under 30 minutes apiece! /S

Seriously, solid mod and decent enough camera work to illustrate what you are doing. Skilled permanent Dat0 placement, and unmodded APU shield CLK wire install, QUITE impressive.

Being concerned with speed over quality WILL get you in trouble eventually. I'm all about exploring all the ways things CAN be done so I KNOW how I like doing them, that includes the efficiency of doing *this* before *that* cause XYZ, and THEN I work on speed. I try to find THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY for ME to do a *thing* 1st, everyone has different tools AND techniques. I also then know all the little things to DEFINITELY not do too.

Also, if you think live streaming everything doesn't add time... I... I got nothin...

I can't wait for everyone to see how efficiently I install this next TotK-Fly ;)

Lots to be said about the vid, I almost stopped it when they didn't immediately unplug the battery. Glad I didn't though, there was one gold nug in there, I like the CLK wire install. That emmc work is gonna get A LOT of noobs in trouble though.

im on 2.72. noticed that there are no more green light (blue LED and straight boot to cfw). is it related to " v2.72 + disable CLK check, it's unstable"?

Being a technician 18 years now and doing microsoldering for so long i can see that this guy has the skills but i cant stand the sloppiness when i see it. Seeing so many guys taking out those so fragile connectors with pointed tweezers, not even disconnecing the batteries, not only on switch but on smartphones, tablets and other stuff. All trying to do things fast and believe me, i understand it until a certain point because time is money, but it has become so annoying. There are lot of memebers watching these videos and when something is not as i should be it must not be posted because eventually that kind of installations will get you in trouble for sure. Maybe not the first, the second or the third time but eventually they WILL. Yes when you are experienced you can use the hot air station at 400 C or soldering iron at 380 C do things fast, but not even a proper reball or a proper wick clean...yes most of the times it should work but for how long... this was just a reflow... Seeing these things I am starting to think that most of the guys that dont use dat0 adapters is not for the reliability as i thought, but for the 4 euro that those dat0 adapters cost. Its really a shame.

Also shame on those people who demand from lightninjay to release updates when he has no profit. We owe to rehius for his hard work, we owe to lightninjay. Conversely they dont owe us nothing, so stop demanding. You are not in position to ask such demands...

Do not ask any more questions about the HWFLY-RP2040 variant here. I for one will not be responding to them.

Sorry if EOF or something...

When I worked at my local game shop the owner was always telling the other guys 'faster, faster' and I always warned him. My job then became more fixing the other techs failures than fixing actual customer issues and I got locked into doing only the 'hard fixes'.

At one point the owner was SO happy he did 'something' (I don't remember what, on a Switch, port?) SUPER FAST (even said loudly 'wow, I can't believe I did it that fast') but when he went to final test, something wasn't working. He was afraid to ask me for help because I had gotten to a fed-up point with him and when I heard him say 'i have no idea what's wrong or how I broke that' I couldn't resist saying loudly: "BUT YOU DID IT SO FAST!" Had the room fkn ROLLING!

Needless to say, I didn't work there much longer XD

Because they apparently aren't public and only "suppliers" have them... what do you expect?
