The latest Yuzu update says that Super Mario Odyessy can now be booted.
I haven't downloaded or tried as I'm fairly sure that doesn't mean it's playable yet.
Still very exciting.

We could see Super Mario Odyessy playable in the next few months.
No need to buy an overpriced walled garden tablet with bluetooth controllers. =)

But how can you get the game without modding a Switch. Downloading game is illegal especially here on GBATemp.

Besides, there's a cheap dockless Nintendo Switch in Japan and you could buy it online and ship it.

I will pirate it. Probably in a pre setup pack like what we've seen with CEMU+BOTW.
Piracy is a crime sure, it's not more of a crime on GBATemp. The forums just have a policy against helping people pirate on these forums. The policy is mostly to avoid potential legal problems.

You know what should be criminal, consoles and console exclusives. I'm not going to spend $350+ of my hard earned dollars to play one game just because Nintendo/Sony are greedy aholes.

Not wanting to spend $350 on a single game makes tons of sense to most people. Maybe you just love throwing money away. Super mario odyessy is the only game I want to play from the switch. Obviously my desire is not so much that I'm going to go out and waste a bunch of cash. I can wait.

I guess I'd chase the used market if I were you, but I'd also go so far as to say that you'd be a cool if you bought quite literally any piece of hardware with the sole purpose of using exactly one piece of software with limited content-hours, especially when there is other software that's just as enjoyable
