ROM Hack Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel Saikyo Battle Royal Translation Request - Aug 12th 2021 JP

I've figured out how to use some of the English files on the Japanese version of the game (game ID: 01003c101454a000). Obviously, all DLC stuff is still untranslated (and don't count me on translating anything, I only know how to mix and match files), but it still removes some of the burden in remembering cards (and 1 thing that does get translated on DLC cards is type, which definitely helps. No need to remember any of the non-effect DLC monsters). I've also put the English menu files in, so some menu stuff is also translated (only the ones that are text, not the images). The font is pretty ugly though, nothing I can do about that.

This is a LayeredFS mod. Here's how to use it on Ryujinx (for anything else, you'll have to figure it out yourself):
1. Right-click the installed Japanese Rush Duel game
2. Select "Open Mods Directory"
3. Unzip the downloaded zip file into the folder that opens. You can rename the EnglishText folder if you want (but everything else has to keep their name)

EDIT: 1 minor problem I've discovered is that the fusion tutorial breaks: in the multi-choice effect window you can't select 1 of Sevens Paladin's effects. However, multi-choice fusions still work properly in duels, so there's nothing to worry about.

Nice. I hope we can get a fully translated version from someone, and for the new game too that came out in dec 2022.

The reason we need a translation of the Japanese version of this game is becuase they have abanoned the American release of the game so it is far outdated at this point in time so yeah toss me in with the crowd wanting a translation of the more updaded version of the game

Heck yea man. The first game was fun but the US release never gave us any card updates, the Japanese version had way more cards in it. That's why I want him to finish this translation so badly. There is a second game now too, and I doubt there will be a US release. Even if there is it will probably just be the base game again with no card updates.

Is there a chance this English text mod can be applied to a hacked switch? I have the physical game for my switch, and I am just curious if it would work with Atmosphere.

hey i know you posted this long ago but i been wondering if anyone could somehow help with translation like would it be enough if someone translated the cards japanese text to english then you would be able to add that to this patch? or its more complicated than that? because i can find those booster packs cards with their english translation online so how hard would be to copy paste those into the game? basically how hard is it to edit the card text from its japanese version to english version?

i dont know if we can link stuff here but the yugioh fandom site literally has all the new packs and cards translated from what i can see so far, and from the info i gathered the booster packs added were:
update 1.1.0 “Dynamic Eternal Live!!” (RD/KP05) and “Battle Pack vol.1” (RD/BP01)
update 1.2.0 “Maximum Ultra Evolution Pack” (RD/MAX2) and “Battle Pack vol.2” (RD/BP02)
update 1.3.0 "Extra Transcendent Power-Up Pack" (RD/EXT1-JP) and ??? not sure which other pack but all these i did find their english text online easily

why is there no information at all about what .ab files are? if you google it it keeps saying that .ab is some sort of android files lol like extracting the romfs of the game is easy but how to edit the ab files tho? anyone has any idea how to find info about this cause i cant find anything
