Calling work that people do for free "shit" and "I wouldn't touch this patch with a ten foot pole" is better?
if you don't like it, move on.

You can comment, no one is telling you that you are not allowed to comment on this. It is just, that we are also entitled to our opinion to your opinion! I dislike the response "I am just giving my opinion so everyone else should just shut up and accept it as fact" You are entitled to your opinion, and we are entitled to ours. And in my opinion, your opinion is VERY wrong and the way you word it makes you come across as whiny and entitled! If you worded your "concerns" on their discord server the way you worded your opinion here, the way they reacted to your "concerns" (i am going to believe you on that one) is understandable. Then at that point, don't call it a translation patch. That's not translation.

See, I hate that response "Just do it better or shut up." That does not change the fact this translation is very inaccurate. I shouldn't have to be willing to do the same thing just so I could comment on its quality. That's not how feedback works.
I never once said that my opinion was fact. However, I've been studying this language for the past six years of my life. Sorry if this sound self-righteous but I think I'm owed a little more credibility than just being a whiny, entitled hater. I get people want this game in English, and me voicing my concern comes out of a place of wanting the patch to be better. Trust me, if I didn't care at least a little bit, I wouldn't have even went through the trouble of bringing it up in the first place. Why waste this much of my time on something I didn't care about at least a little? Doesn't make much sense does it?You can comment, no one is telling you that you are not allowed to comment on this. No one is saying you are not credible. What is being said is that your choice of words makes you come across as whiny and entitled. It doesn't matter how good your Japanese is. You could be a native speaker for all I care! If you word your "opinions" the way you did, I will criticize you for it! Your criticism is not what I take issue with, the way you worded it warrants criticism. The fact that you simply don't seem to comprehend where you are in error just makes it all the more apparent, that you lack social skills.I never once said that my opinion was fact. That's not what's being said. You told me my opinion did not matter because I wasn't the one making the patch. That has nothing to do with my "apparent lack of social skills."(That's called an ad hominem logical fallacy btw)No one is saying you are not credible. It is not WHAT you are saying, it is HOW you are saying it! And you made my point, again! No one's opinion "matters" not yours and not mine. If you do not WORK on a project, you are not entitled to be part of any decision-making process regarding it. And the fact, that you obviously do not comprehend, that being factually correct does not mean you are above criticism yourself, just shows that you lack social skills. It is NOT an ad hominem, it is merely an observation (something YOU should appreciate, since you "merely" stated, that in your opinion the work being done was "poor"). Your choice of words was in my opinion poor, and your persistent refusal to even acknowledge what you are being criticized for shows to me that you lack the emotional capacity to do so.That's not what's being said. I'm not going to reply to any more of your responses because it's obvious to me you don't care about anything I have to say. Kinda used to that at this point.
Actually I'm right. First off I'm not demanding anything and second if you are working on something no matter if you're getting paid or not you wanna make it good, especially if other people are gonna use it, people respect quality otherwise whats the point? I don't wanna hear your "they're not obligated" excuses, some of us don't want incompetence its a waste of time. Also with your logic of "they're not obligated to listen to anything", I'm not obligated to listen to your BS.Wrong... you don't get to demand "quality" for free! Actually, you don't get to demand or expect anything! You are not entitled to the labor of others! There is no need to excuse anything when it comes to FREE fan translations, mods, homebrews, exploids, hacks or cheats and so forth. You get to say thank you or maybe politely ask for a change/give a suggestion. But the ones doing the work for FREE are in no way obligated to listen to anything you or anyone else has to say about their contribution. Yes, quality would be nice... but you know what? If you want it done better. How about, you put in the effort and make that happen yourself!?
If no one's opinion matters then why are you even talking? GOT"EM!!!It is not WHAT you are saying, it is HOW you are saying it! And you made my point, again! Nope you are wrong and you only speak for yourself! I am quite sure the "some of us" you are talking about are a very small, very entitled and apparently socially inept minority! And I am responding to make sure that those who are actually putting in the work know that said minority are not the only ones lurking here. Not that I think it matters, it's simply something I like to do. People respect quality, you say? Well, how about you contribute and earn some? That would be a win for everyone... but something tells me, that is not going to happen.Actually I'm right. The patch is still a work in progress. I don't know why they put V 1.0 if it wasn't complete, but hey, it's a patch, no?Why does it say "English Translation" if most of it is in Italian? -_-
Stop fucking complaining that the patch isn't good enough for you! I'd like to see you try! Then at that point, don't call it a translation patch. That's not translation.

I can't seem to make it work, how did you do it ?I finally got it working on an emulator and it worked! Great job on the translation!
How did you get the 1.5 update on citra?I finally got it working on an emulator and it worked! Great job on the translation!
the game is fully translated as far as i am toldHow much has been translated so far ? Keep up the work guys, this is gonna be amazing !
I don't think so, as the latest release's patch notes are the following:the game is fully translated as far as i am told
they are but 1.0 is when the full game has been translated. That's how their numbering worksI don't think so, as the latest release's patch notes are the following:
This update polishes a lot more of chapter 1 while also translating item description text with a few more solid backend translations and changes. Enjoy! Lot's of more updates to come in the future to continue to perfect the game.
I believe that they are still working on it, but the 1.0 tag sure is confusing.
