It's true.
And SX OS is also private for now. You have to wait 15th June. Maybe like the free solution.

I don't understand why someone would pre-order this when free alternatives are right around the corner, and one has no idea if they will release before or after the TX release date.

I can understand purchasing this after it has been released if it's before there's a free alternative, but it just seems silly to spend anything before that.

Realistically, I bought it for an easy to carry payload launcher as my phone doesn't support loading payloads. (Thanks for making shitty phones, Motorola.)

The dongle seems nice, but I'm not in a rush. I'll probably be able to buy a SX OS license online and start using it right away once it's released, so no need to pre-order.

Nothing is available free that does what SX OS does.
Atmosphere is under construction. Nothing to see there. Its not a working CFW. It hasn't been released to the public for testing. It doesn't have a backup loader. It has no release date. Its open source so really there is no incentive for any developers other than working on it for fun.
Stop talking up Atmosphere when the only positive thing about it is it will be released for free. Well if its ever finished
