Is this console worth buying and what can I do with compared to just a regular Xbox one x.

Legally, I don't think GameStop/Ebgames can buy or sell actual devkits, you never legally "own" a devkit, they are technically on a permanent lease, if you don't want it anymore you are supposed to return it to the company
