I have a DORASU rev C R4i Gold that worked with 3ds until it got blocked out with the new 6.0.0 update. Would putting it into a DSi with latest firmware work?

What about a DS Lite? I put it into one and the L/R buttons didnt work. Is there another firmware for Lite?
If the L/R buttons didn't work, then it's the Lite itself. Lots of them had L/R buttons that stopped working.
